Came back here for a six night stay. The staff here continues to be great. I find them to be, without exception, friendly, knowledgeable, and guest-oriented. I was upgraded to a large, two bedroom, two bathroom, suite.

Everything that i said in my earlier review (post 129, upthread) still applies. Breakfast in the M Club is still disappointing; however, we can now purchase the regular breakfast downstairs at the discounted price of, IIRC, 650 baht. They should just give elites, or maybe just top tier elites (if they're worried about cost) the option to eat at either venue. There are certainly enough negative comments about breakfast in this thread that management knows that something needs to be done. This is the reason (and the only reason) that I gave four stars instead of five.

Unlike last time, I spent some time at the pool on several days this visit. The pool area is as described in my earlier review. There is food available, and a friendly and attentive staff is happy to assist. One day some friends dropped by to visit, and we had lunch at the pool. We had a Caesar salad and club sandwich. Both were excellent. The pool is on the roof, and is an infinity pool. There's no vegetation up there, so the pool bakes in the sun all day, with the result that the water can get fairly warm by the afternoon. Perfect for me, just how I like it. I found the pool to be quite small for a hotel of its size, and the number of lounges is also small. I had no problem getting a lounge during the week, but on the weekend it is challenging unless you're there first thing in the morning. The lounges are comfortable, towels plentiful. There are regular towels, and there are special towels designed with a pocket that slips over the top of the lounge, so it doesn't slide down as you sit or recline. Great idea!

This continues to be a great hotel which provides excellent, and, just as important, consistent service, -- you won't be disappointed.

This hotel was recommended by the Director of Rooms of the W hotel which is also a fantastic hotel. Unfortunately the W does not begin to be operational until August.

I am Ambassador status at Marriott and was usually treated extremely well at any Marriott properties. This hotel was no exception.

I also was surprised to learned that their GM was chosen from the 500 GMs in the Marriott Asia Pacific as the GM of the year on 2018.

The GM was a wonderful gentleman from Australia and an extremely stable and competent manager. All the hotel staff was exceptional in service and decorum and at not time have I felt not well cared for.

The restaurant on the 32nd floor called Yao was extremely tasty and they are currently having a attractive promotion of 30% for all ambassador members.

Extremely competitive pricing on all Food and Beverage.

The rooms here are also meticulously maintained and have beautiful scenery views of the Icon Siam shopping center.

I highly recommend staying here as a good option for visiting Bangkok!

Beautiful room, excellent pool and pool bar, great rooftop for cocktails. Breakfast cost extra but the buffet includes dishes from a range of international cuisines and the juice bar was great.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom residence which was modern, clean and spacious. Unfortunately the residence we were given was on the 6th floor overlooking the carpark and I would have expected these rooms to be on higher floors. We prefer a better view when in Bangkok, otherwise i would have given 5 stars.

Not much to see in this location but not too far to Chinatown.

This review is long overdue, but now that I have a moment to reflect I wanted to give praise to an exceptional hotel and team. We traveled at the end of February and with Covid-19 concerns growing with each and every day, we originally wanted to cancel our stop in Bangkok and return home. In fact, when first booked, this new hotel was not what I had originally intended to book (careless error on my part). Without going into details, the team from the hotel was so caring, patient, and understanding of helping to work through our concerns and we decided to go. We are so happy we did. The property itself is of beautiful and thoughtful construction. The incredible upgrade extended to us as Titanium members was simply fantastic. But what made this stay so wonderful and validated coming and putting aside any concerns we had was the staff. The housekeepers, lounge staff, front drive team, reception team....all were so friendly and warm. Furthermore, the steps the hotel took in ensuring the safety of the guests were truly above average - I never passed through the lobby or elevator without seeing someone wiping and sanitizing every detail of high traffic touch points. Well done! I also want to give special mention to Lucksamee Khemgumnert and Porntita Bheungnoi for instilling confidence in our stay through their kind correspondence prior to arrival. I was so uncertain of everything taking place with our trip (including canceled segments to Seoul and Singapore due to travel restrictions) and they were always available and patient in dealing with my stressful concerns. Thank you so very much. We look forward when the time comes again where travel is possible, even in a new shape and form, and will be back here as soon as we possibly can. Thank you all at the Marriott Hotel, The Surawongse. Stay well and safe.

Stayed here together with my fiancé for a long weekend staycation. Both of us loved the amazing rooms and service we were particularly impressed with the well equipped Gym for being a hotel and the amazing swimming pool with some of the best views ideal for pictures where you can really enjoy the Bangkok skyline. Must say that the views of this property are unparalleled and the rooms product is really that of a luxury hotel with great price value. Endre and his team delivered great service and was particularly impressed with the team At the M club. GM, Blair made it a point to chat with his guests during breakfast which demonstrates the properties true and genuine commitment to ensuring guests are well looked after during their stay. Keep the good work up, definitely return and recommend fellow travelers to stay.

It is a pleasant experience at Yao again. Previously, i was here for the dinner and today for the Afternoon tea. Both times are great - good taste with exceptional service. The staff who seviced us today is K. Tong. He gave a very good information of the tea sections available and suitable for the set. He came and change the new plates for us very often "without asking". Pls. Continue this excellent service na kaa. I will come again for sure.

I booked residential suit for this stay as the room have pantry for cooking as during this situation in Bangkok, all restaurants open for takeaway food only and not allow us dine in at restaurant. The room that we got very big area and very more comfortable, the kitchen have fully kitchen equipments with dining table for four seats, big long sofa with one arm chair, that very prefect for us.

We order special food from food truck, the price not over charge and very cheap but taste very delicious.

Special thank you Khun Chompoo and Khun Earn from reception, she very kind and taking care us like her family, we very appreciated for her service. See you again on next month.

Staycation in Bangkok begin here!
My friends and I (6people) decided to stay here due to we tried to release our trip to go to upcountry and find some hotel where located nearby café hopping around Chaoen Kung area and reasonable price. In this time, we choose 3 bedrooms suite to stay.
The 3 bedroom here was large like generally service apartments in Bangkok. Feeling comfortable. Large restroom in master bedroom. The facilities are also good. I like it
I love smell good from the lobby. Staff were very nice since I was valet parking, checked in and were informative.
I love the view from the pool and suitable for who loves to take a photo but the pool is quite small

Breakfast: I think and I understand in term of the situation and it because of the price reasons when we booked the room is quite cheap. That’s why the breakfast is not variety of food and quite lees selection of foods as compared with other the same range of hotels in Thailand. The most ingredients of food is Pork category than chicken or beef. (Sorry I can’t eat pork). The totally of taste is ok but not too good in some menu.
I love this restaurant decoration and how to manage the buffet station.

The thing that I really don’t like this hotel is drive way at front of the hotel. It should have In and Out way separately in order to reduce the traffic when the hotel have events and customers who come to stay at the hotel and the important thing is any accidents.
I think this hotel is suitable for corporate and events than family hotel. Therefore if you looking for the hotel to have the events or meeting, I may recommend this hotel.

I definitely enjoyed my time at the Bangkok Marriott Hotel - I wish I stayed longer than 3 nights! I arrived via taxi from the BKK airport, and was immediately welcomed by two kind gentlemen with the bell team who helped with my many luggage. The lobby was stunning, clean, smelled great, and associate/manager lobby presence is quickly noticeable! I was quickly checked in to my room on the 20th floor where I got great view of the city. Upon check-in, I also received a refreshing iced fruit tea and a flower bracelet. I apologize I do not remember the fruit and flower type! It was lovely and I soon started to see the fruit and flower throughout the streets of Bangkok.

The decor is beautiful and so much culture all throughout the hotel. My room was very clean and I was welcomed by an adorable elephant shaped towel on my bed! I enjoyed a delicious full breakfast buffet available at Praya Kitchen and the restaurant manager even came in person to check up on me. Really appreciate that, especially given the current global circumstances. I appreciate all associates' kindness and hard work. It was also very kind of them to be running a full breakfast buffet given the likelihood of low hotel occupancy. I'm sure by now things have changed for the industry overall.

I visited Yao rooftop and the staff there is just as great. Views are amazing right at sunset. Views from the 18th floor pool are just as great. I was heading out for a local spot and learned about the Grab app (uber/lyft/uber eats in Thailand) and I was struggling to navigate it; the Front Desk agent kindly helped. I definitely recommend using this app as well. It is very popular in Thailand. While I wait for my rides in the lobby, the Concierge/Bell Staff continue to make conversation with me and make their recommendations. The hotel also offers complimentary scheduled one-way shuttle rides to the nearest BTS train station. Very convenient. It was very nice to get to know everyone and I wish got everyone's names to recognize them! The next time I am back in Bangkok, I will definitely stay here again. I hope everyone is staying healthy & safe and wishing the entire Marriott family well!
