we booked the room with the free transfer from and to the airport. so when we landed in BKK we found the rapresentative and we waited about 5 mins for the shuttle to the hotel. The hotel is about 20 mins from the airport, it's got a swimming pool, a restaurant, spa and a gym. The staff was lovely with us, they let me print loads of paperwork for free. In the morning I've paid for the breakfast on site just for 150 baht (about 4 euro). Good variety of food. We tried the restaurant as well for dinner, and the food was really good as well. The room was clean and modern. Just had a problem with the wifi not working well sometimes. Loved the view over the river.

I stayed several times in this hotel, in July before going to Japan, and in August, before returning to Australia.
It's an 'airport hotel'; not right next to the airport but 10 minutes or more away, depending on traffic. The location is drab and there's nothing much to do in the surrounding area, this is definitely not Silom, but there is a night market and convenience stores nearby. I used the hotel's shuttle from the airport both visits (just go to the hotel shuttle point on the arrival floor, notify someone there, and wait). The first time the hotel transfer was included in the price I paid for the room; the second time I was asked for THB200 on arrival. On my second visit, I was also asked for THB200 to return to the airport, but instead I got a taxi, which at 5am only cost THB100, including a tip to the driver.
The first visit I was on the third floor; the second visit I was on the seventh. Each time the room was spacious and quite pleasant, although I don't know how well it will stand up to wear over time. On my second visit, the drains in the bathroom shower had a vaguely unpleasant smell but I was only there for one night and it didn't affect how I slept.
A lot of Thai buildings have dodgy electrics (although newer buildings like the Golden Foyer should be a lot better), and I wondered about this when I had difficulty charging my phone, both times. I was able to charge it eventually, but left to its own devices on the first visit, my phone's battery actually discharged to zero overnight while it was plugged in. My phone beeped regularly when on the charger; as soon as it did I learned to disconnect it, and wait a few minutes before connecting again. It was a very slow process. My charger worked just fine in other hotels in Japan and Bangkok, so I think this problem was with the hotel.
There is a small gym which I didn't try to use, and a small swimming pool. Both looked like they were designed as marketing points, rather than actual places to be used. But at least they were provided.
The buffet breakfast is OK, ie, not grand, the weakest part was congealed fried eggs – why couldn't they offer boiled eggs? – a lot easier and more pleasant. The cost was included in some tariffs but not in mine. There's indoor and outdoor dining areas, and it's quite pleasant, being close to the canal. Fans are used to ward off mosquitos. I paid for the buffet breakfast several times, but on several occasions I also bought sandwiches, fruit and coffee from a nearby 7/11 and a street stall, and I think that was better value and the fruit in particular, was much tastier.
I don't think this hotel has a business centre, but reception did do photocopying of travel documents at a very minimal cost. They also had a laundry service which was OK but needed more than 24 hours, and even then some of the clothes returned to my room were still damp.
What this place really has to offer is location (if you want to be close to the airport) and price. The staff are generally friendly, too. It's great value for a quick overnight stay.

Indian Food was not available either in hotel nor at nearby places. About 30 minutes drive from Airport and away from Bangkok city market place. Adjacent to hotel, local street market exist whereby one can purchase day today requirements at affordable prices.

I generally don't give one star rating to any hotel but this hotel was absolutely horrible. As we were transiting via Bkk I booked this hotel for a night thinking its near the airport and it's a 4 star hotel. When I booked this hotel using a booking website I had put Two adults and two children and the room it showed was a deluxe room which accomodates 4 people as the room seemed to be quite spacious.
Upon checking in I asked for two extra towels as there were only two towels in the room. The front office informed us that only two towels are given as per Hotel policy which wasn't mentioned anywhere and I would have to pay extra for two towels. This is the most bizzare thing I have ever heard of. The bed sheets were dirty, it had dirt so we made the bed at again. Bathroom was very tiny, seemed like a 1920's bathroom. We were lucky that we checked in late and checked out early as the location of the hotel is also very shady.
Lesson learn't to always book hotels which has a good chain all over the world or in the country you are visiting. Will never ever stay in this hotel again!

The Airport pick-up and drop-off service was great. I informed them the flight details of my arrival flight and they asked me to call them once I arrive (and the location where I have to wait). Everything worked out well. My room was on the 6th floor (I think) and it was facing the city side and view was not too bad (a room on the other side with the view of the canal would have been better). The reception staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included and it was a simple western breakfast.

Situated just ten minutes from the main airport and sits on a working canal,

I always enjoy coming here. It is unpretentious, clean, and well priced with large rooms and decent staff.

The beds are great, breakfast room by the canal offers inside and outside dining cheaply.

Lovely and well-kept swimming pool and a small inside bar area near reception.

They run a cheap minibus service to the airport, both pickup and return.

Ideal for pre-flight short stays or arrivals until you find your bearings.

A few more Western channels on the TV would be good.

Not much outside but a thriving local market and plenty of 7-11s and fast food as well as local food.

This is a decent hotel close to Suvarnabhumi airport. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms the right size. There is a nice pool on the ground floor. What makes this place not worth more than two stars is the staff. From the reception to the bar, from the breakfast staff to the maintenance men, you will never see a smile. At the reception you can also encounter people texting on their phones you will not want to bother... I wonder what is the quality the HR is looking for when interviewing the candidates.

It's a pretty nice hotel. The breakfast buffet was good as well. They had eggs, bacon, cereal, some Thai food, bread, butter and jam. It's located next to a market, which is nice to visit in the early afternoon. There isn't much nearby though. Only stayed there cause it was close to the airport and we had an early flight the next day. It wasn't that cheap, compared to Thai prices. Rooms were nice and the pool was lovely

About a fifteen-minute drive from Bangkok’s main airport the Golden Foyer serves it purpose well. There is a nice little pool on site if you wish to cool off and also a small gym though several of the machines were out of operation when I was there. The hotel backs on to a canal and you can sit and enjoy a drink or bite to eat from their on-site restaurant whilst watching boats go by on the water. The room was clean, fresh and quite modern. For a budget price no complaints from me at all. There is also an excellent market outside that runs every evening where you can pick up some great street food or knick knacks. Can recommend to anyone considering booking.

How much is the shuttle to the airport?
Answer from Padparadscha
Toronto, Canada205 contributions70 helpful votes
There is a per person charge for the airport shuttle and it leaves every hour. I believe it was at the thirty minute mark, ie. 730, 830, 930 etc. I can't remember the exact cost per person, but it was a reasonable price. We had airport transportation included with our reservation.
