The only positive about this place was the rooms and cleanliness. Other than that, avoid it like the plague. Staff were SO rude and blunt upon arrival. Never experienced such rudeness from a hotel reception. We asked for our 1000 baht deposit back in replacement for a passport as it was our last 2 days and we were very short... More

This hotel is clean, friendly staff but if you want a good sleep and to relax after a long trip from home you will be disappointed. At night you can hear noise from the street, singing from restaurant nearby.

Pay attention photos show rooms different from reality. Quite bad. Not so clean , no kind people at reception. Very noisy outside. Only good thing is the position: 15 minutes by walk to royal palace but to reach palace we have cross a kind of highway road, so it's more simple to take a tuk tuk or taxi.

Nothing about this place was offensive but nothing was very good either. The rooms are very small. We payed extra to stay in their largest room and it was still tiny. The bathroom is seperated from the room with just a sliding glass door and a shower curtain and it so small that the sink is in the room itself.... More

We have stayed in this hotel for 5 night now and it a great central location. Clean rooms, but noisy as there are bars outside where they play live music till the early hours, but it is in the heart of all the entertainment. There is no food inside the hotel, but you can get great coffee and snacks next... More

My fiancé and I stayed for two nights upon arriving in Bangkok... It's really no different than the reviews say. It's in a great location right off Khao San road, but it is extremely loud until about 2am so if you're coming off a long haul flight or want to relax, this probably won't suit you. For us it was... Such a bad experiences each times (3) I have been there! Personnel are absolutely not friendly and kind, i suppose you have to pay to deserve a regard or a smile. You can see them playing or watching films on their phones sit in the middle of the corridor. Early in the morning the cleaning personnel is not talking but... More

If you want to listen to live unnecessary loud music until the early hours from the comfort of your own room with the doors closed, like sleeping on stiff vinyl mattresses and swimming in a small cramped pool space with no bar.. This is the place for you. The staff are about as much help as a chocolate fire guard!... More

We stayed in Sleep Within for three nights in June. Very basic room, but was still clean. Right next to Khaosan Road, which makes it extremely loud at night until 3am. Had to pay a 1000 TB security deposit on check in, which I wasn’t aware about when making the booking. Wifi wasn’t the best and customer service wasn’t great,... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
