I stayed over for a night, while on a 2 day business trip to Bangkok, and was very plesantly suprised by the hotel. It is clean, the beds are comfortable, the toiler has full amenities, free wifi and a good breakfast. it is in close proximity to the skytrain, and also shopping (although I didn't get a chance to do...

We stayed in Baan 18 after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, glad we did. A pleasure from start to finish. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful. They recommended several restaurants nearby which where all to our liking. Advised on the best and cheapest way to get around Bangkok (especially during rush-hour) and to the airport. Can't wait...

This was a wonderful place. At first I wasn't that happy with the location, given that the area seemed very international, without much local "thai" flavor. But after spending a few days in Bangkok, I realized how silly I was. The sukhumvit area is just as much a part of Bangkok as any other "real" district. Sure, its a more...

I reserved our two rooms on-line. Very nice place, a bit hidden down an alley, but, by carefully watching for signs I spotted it for the taxi driver. Our rooms were about $30 per night each, breakfast included. The rooms were spacious, clean, well appointed, nice bathrooms and great air conditioning. It was the weekend, so we left the hotel...

A very cozy, comfortable & convenient place to stay at. Our manager Thongbai was very sweet and helpful. All basic comforts were made available.Breakfast served to us was also simple, yet delicious. Convenience wise it was at a great location. Being really close to the marketplace, the eateries, shops and even the skytrain was at a walking distance.

WE really like this small hotel for its hospitality. Location is great. Very quiet in the nights. Rooms are very well decorated, spacious bathrooms. 2 minutes walk to skytrain station Asoke.

Last year we stayed at the Baan Sukhumvit Soi 20 (they are both owned by the same people - as if you hadn't guessed), Soi 18 is slightly more upmarket but the welcome and standard of service were of equal quality. Kevin and his Thai wife maintain very high standards and both hotels are spotlessly clean, comfortable (hard beds but...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
