The rooms aren't what the pictures make them out tonne and are very basic, especially the bathroom, well washroom the showers not dry good and doesn't get warm. The rooms are probably overpriced for what they are. We arrive really early in the morning and they allowed us to check in early but they did say this would be a...

It is too expensive and not clean. Toilet is bad with the old facilities. The staff is ignorant, not friendly. Location: inside Khao San road, it is crowded and funny. However, music is shut down at 3 - 4 am, too noisy, can not sleep. Food: many restaurants surrounding

Budget hotel with a pricy cost! Don't be fooled by the pictures of the rooms only a few actually look like that. We were given a very small room with a tiny window even though we paid nearly 4000 baht for 3 nights. When we arrived we saw a sign with cheaper prices for our room which was annoying. Location...

Good hotel, right in the middle of the busiest street in Bangkok. Hotel is basic but you are right in the centre. Bit noisy at night tho, music can be heard until 3am. Would recommend for couples and groups of friends. Swimming pool on the roof which is fab after a long day of sight seeing. Shops and bars are...

My partner and I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights during our stay in Bangkok, and we were initially excited. The reception looks modern and chic, the photos of the pool were impressive so we were excited. We arrived and waited at the pool for our room to be ready and let me just say that those...

This is right in the thick of the action. I would recommend this if you are visiting Thailand/Aisa/Bankgkok for the first time, as it will give you an introduction to the chaos. But please note you will have to walk a couple of minutes with your rucksack/suitcase through experience sellers and you luggage is a magnet to them. But enjoy...

Noisy - one word describing all day long at this hotel. Party till very early morning outside, people walking, loud AC. But also clean, good location. The only hotel I appreciated no window at room - here you can sleep.

The location was great on Khao San Road (one of the best looking places) and it was very clean. For the price it's probably the best you'll get. The pool is nice. Be aware it is very noisy at night due its amazing location, so it's great if you want to party... if you want an early night then take...

If you like to party and want to be in the center of the backpackers heaven, that is the great place to be. Rooms are nice and tidy and staff has been very helpful during our all stay. The only drawback is the pool which needs a little bit maintenance work. But the rest is great

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
