Me and my friend stayed at Lub D Silom back in September when we first started travelling, was very clean and ticked every box in terms of facilities. Decent AC, good security, decent sized lockers, soap and shampoo in the toilets, a shelf and charging port by the bed, very helpful staff. It's not a party hostel but felt quite...

Super social hostel with plenty of people to hang out with at all times either on the front terrace or lobby. There is a bar with a good happy hour. Rooms were fine, maybe a bit warm. Beds a little hard but that can be a standard in Asia. Location is decent with a not too long walk to the...

I backpacked through here at 29 years old. This place is better than a hotel. Very clean and nice, and great people to keep you company. I highly recommend coming here. Rooms are good, bathrooms are great, staff is excellent. A bit of advice: make sure to get breakfast at the markets. The Hostel breakfasts aren't great, and are overpriced,...

This hostel is amazing. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, nice cheap breakfast. The location is pretty good too, though you'd probably have to spend some money on taxi if you don't want to walk too much in the heat. I stayed in a private room but still met a lot of great people in the bar/common area. My room...

I started my trip in Thailand at Lub D and it was the perfect choice. The hostel was clean, spacious, comfortable beds, good bathrooms. Free wifi throughout. The staff were great, really knowledgeable and helpful. It was also great for meeting other people. The room layout meant talking to other people was easy, but there was the classic big table...

I really enjoyed staying 3 days at Lub D mixed dorm room. It is very easy to locate and lots of nice eating joints around the area. The hostel is very clean and nice. All the extra facilities provided are decently priced. Would definitely recommend staying in the hostel

Lub d is an awesome hostel. The toilets and showers are clean, the beds are comfortable and spacious. The table downstairs is really sociable to sit on, I met loads of great people there. The price is reasonable as well. Lub d isn't a party hostel but its not too far from kho San road and it has a rail...

Very reasonably priced and conveniently situated. Excellent location but in nice quiet street, walking distance to the main attractions and street market. Good price, location, but best of all the great bunch of staff. The staff are all helpful and professional. You get very good value for the price: great big rooms. The rooms are air-conditioned, well kept, very clean,...

We stayed in the deluxe room and feel all the basics were covered with the hostel. Good aircon, great shower, bed slightly hard but slept well, shampoo and shower gel provided, central table in the communal area for people to socialise, and a bar for small bits of food and a decent choice of drinks. Trying to think of things...

Way overdue review. Stayed on the railway twin room with a friend. I liked the ambiance of the place. The shared bathroom was very clean as well. The staff were nice and helpful. However, the place does not have elevators, so it can be quite a bit hassle if you have a lot of luggage with you. The place is...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
