Riva Arun Bangkok, managed by SilverNeedle Hospitality, is a 25 room boutique hotel located on the Chao Phraya River, opposite to Wat Arun and surrounded by some of the city's most treasured historical sites such as Wat Pho, Museum of Siam, and the Grand Palace. The hotel is within walking distance of the Flower Market, Tha Tien Fresh Market, Yodpiman River Walk and Tha Maharaj Riverside Community Mall at Maharaj Pier. The hotel easily connects to the city center via Bangok's most distinctive mode of transportation - the river ferry. A boat ride down the river from Chao Phraya Tourist Boat Pier, literally on our doorstep, takes guests past the Chinese Shrine, which has commanded a majestic presence in the neighbourhood for centuries
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

Excellent Thai dishes so flavorful and delicious . Have not had such great Thai food in a while . The view from rooftop is worthwhile .Would recommend this especially to those who are used to spicy stuff .

Probably yes, depending on your room orientation and if you want to view them from the rooftop restaurant which has a great view. There is also an elevated promenade a short distance away just by the river with a Starbucks beside it, and that may be nice as well depending on where the fireworks are.

I am not totally sure. I do know that they were very willing to hold my bags in a closet after I checked out as I had a lot of time between checking out and needing to depart for the airport. I'd imagine they might be willing to do the same thing for early arrivals if you couldn't get into your room upon arrival.
