I only stayed two nights to get my bearings in Bangkok as I'm traveling for months and have a budget to stick to. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. I chose this hotel because I had spent months in India and really wanted to take a bath. The room I booked said it came with a bathtub...

The most troubling thing here was the staff being oblivious to the fire alarm, which sounded soon after we checked in. Having rushed down the fire escape we found staff on the ground floor coukd hear the alarm but wern't bothered by it. Turned out to be a guest smoking un their room, but makes you wonder what woukd happen...

I was looking forward to the stay from the positive reviews I read here, but I realize the occasional bad reviews are actually true. The hot water really doesn't work. I stayed in room 22. The water takes minutes to turn hot, and it turns scorching hot for a few seconds before it turns cold again. I was shivering the...

Arrived at hotel and was met with very helpful staff. The room was very clean and fully equiped with every thing needed to enjoy our stay. Very modern room and toilet with bath and shower and towels. Over all a good quiet hotel but only 2 minuets from shops. Ill be back.

The rooms are small but comfortable. The price is very affordable. Staff is helpful, friendly, and very courteous, although some face challenges with their English skills. The hotel is conveniently located to the Sukhumvit area and close to many restaurants and shopping options.

Just exceptional place to stay arid visiting Bangkok! Very quaint. All the staff were very attentive, accommodating, and friendly. The breakfast buffet was amazing too. Very close to the train station. Next door was a wonderful Thai restaurant which was very convenient.

Fine, I went to book and it - however when I got to Bangkok I found out the owner has THREE hotels all named 'Salil' - one FAR FAR down soi 8, another...

My friend who has an apartment at the end of the soi recommended Salil to me. It is deep into the soi, probably 200 m, so very quiet, not rowdy, but they have a free tuk tuk service out to Sukumvit road where there are restaurants, spas, shopping etc. The room was clean and adequately supplied. The air conditioner worked...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
