Stayed 3 nights although not concecutive. Hotel is a no frills no fuss hotel - no bell boy so you need to lig your own luggage up - from the price point one should expect that. Bed pillows are soft but mattress is firm and provides a good night's rest. The biggest draw of this hotel is its location -...

Most of my stays in Taipei will be at Ximending and definitely at East Dragon. One reason for staying is because of the pricing, which is slightly lower than most hotels around the area. What i like most is the quietness at the area and it is just around the food street. The room is moderately spacious and clean. Not...

Location is excellent and staff are friendly & nice but wished they have a proper waiting area for those waiting for airport transfer. They don't even have a toilet at the lobby Good for short stay but will not stay again. Breakfast is the same everyday and only standard ham & bread. Boring selection.

This is one of many small hotels in this area. It is well located - you simply need to walk across the road to enter one of the the several pedestrian streets/malls shopping/food precincts with a range of eastern and western restaurants along with street food vendors, all of which comes alive with very large numbers of predominately young people...

Don't get me wrong, location is awesome, cleaniness is great, service staffs are ever helpful but I just hate the slight musky smell and wet dew kinda feeling in the room. It's really not too bad, but I just wanna highlight it out. Also, keep the windows closed.. I had mosquitoes on my last night, thankfully! Stayed for 4D3N, love...

Stayed there for 4 nights in a triple room. The staff are friendly and helpful. We find the beds a little hard and the pillows too soft. A hot water dispenser is provided outside the rooms along the corridor as there are no electric kettles provided in the room. Breakfast is the same every morning with fried eggs, ham and...

I just returned from 7 nights here, they have renovated Level 3 rooms, really smart. Double glazing is quiet, great air and service is so good, for what you pay its really great value. Everything is at your doorstep and the train 5 min walk, highly recommend this place. No safe in the room was my only gripe. Breakfast is...

We've stayed here with a group of friends (30 years old) for a fun weekend in Taipei. The location is just perfect, right next to the coolest neighborhood for shopping, eating and hanging out. The rooms were basic but comfy. Not the cleanest i've seen but still just fine. The staff were very friendly and helped us a lot with...

Ximending Area where East Dragon Hotel is located is in the city center of Taipei. For airport to hotel transfer you can book through KLOOK, it is cheaper than taxi and more convenient because the driver will wait for you at the exit with your name. As for early check-in you can discuss it with the hotel receptionist since they can speak english well. As for the two discontinuous days, I think you need to book it separately, then you need to check-out in the morning of April 17 and leave your luggage in the concierge. You can get it back when you comeback on the 18th to check-in again.

Hello there!

Shilin Night Market: From the hotel, head to the nearest metro station (Ximen station). Take 1 stop to Taipei Main Station, and change to the red line, towards Tamsui/Xinbeitou. Alight at Jiantan station and it's a 5 minute walk away.

Taipei 101: From Ximen station, take to Taipei Main Station again. You're changing to the red line again but head towards Xiangshan. Alight at the Taipei 101 Station/World Trade Center station (it's the stop before the terminating stop).

East Dragon Hotel is a family run hotel, so I don't think they help to purchase attraction tickets for guests, but I'm sure they can give you suggestions on where to go. Also, I believe there's no need to book any day tours to explore Taipei as it's fairly easy to figure out how to get to places. The metro staff are very friendly and speak fairly well in English and the receptionists at the hotel are knowledgeable too, if you need any help.

Lastly, there is a bus service provided by KuoKuang Motor Transport that takes you from Taoyuan Airport to Taipei Main Station for TWD125 (might/might not have changed) per adult, so maybe you can seek that out. However, it'll be easier if you just get the reception to book a taxi to pick you up at a specified time as I assume you'll have some luggage when returning to the airport. A ride to the airport will take approximately 1 hour. Not very sure about the price now, but I'll guess it's upwards from TWD1000.

Hope this helps!
