Rooms and showers were all that we needed and for a good price. Owner Mr. Lee was extremely nice and let us stay for several hours after checkout as two of us were ill. The hostel is very close to the Taipei central station so it's easy to get around.

I'm a young female traveler who stayed in a single room at Taiwan Happy Family Hostel for the month of July and loved it. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a cheap and central place in Taipei. The location could not be better for day trips since the central train station and bus station are less than...

My partner and I stayed in this place. It does look a bit worn out- but it was such a lovely place. The staff were so friendly and helpful. My only comment is that behind the head boards of the beds were a bit dirty... apart from that it was lovely.

The hostel is clean and new. The location is good, which is very near MTR and Railway station. The owner is nice. I can feel the warm environment. The only problem is the main entrance is not easy to find but the owner will tell me clearly by phone. Highly recommended.

Great location, very closed to the bus station and to the railway station, in fact consider it in the centre of Taipei. Nice welcome and helpful staff, John will answer your questions and try to make everything all right for you. Wifi correct in the rooms. Rooms very basic but good rates. Shared bathrooms quite clean. Rooms and beds all...

I spent 8 nights at the hostel at a mixed dorm over the Xmas period. The location beats all possible downsides for a start, secondly I have never met a host who's so hospitable, not only towards solo travellers like me but anyone who's open to a conversation or two. I had a great time despite the rainy days in...

I have to say I was a bit concerned about some of the negative comments about the place. But the rooms was clean enough and so were the shared facilities. At least they provide drinking water, hot and cold, if not on your floor, then one up or down. As for insects, surprisingly there was the odd mosquito or two...

We stayed in this place for two nights. We got one room on the third floor and one on the top floor. I spotted a few bumps on my waist the next morning but didn't bother to check when we were out in town as I thought it could be mosquito bites that were itching me. After our shower that...

Just a walking distance to the MRT Taipei Main Station. If you're from Tao Yuan International Airport, take a bus from Terminal 2 at 125NT per pax and it'll head straight to the Taipei Main Bus Station, which by the way is near to the MRT station. That settles the porblem with airport transfers and commuting around Taipei. I wish...

The hostel has own website www.taipeiroom.com with detailed description on how to get to it. It is only 5 minutes walking far from bus stop near East entrance to Taipei main railway station where you alight off KuoKuang bus 1819 from Taoyuan airport. The hostel door carries no sign there is hostel inside, it only has big letters "HF" on...
