Hotel is located in the heart of the city, the most lively place that is thamel. Construction is a bit old, but hospitality is good and hence helps you have a comfortable stay. Everything is just walking distance away.

Good location with helpful staff, basic but ok facilities. As for breakfast don't expect much as a vegetarian, although the organic coffee is worth a mention. The wifi is more miss than hit but that has more to do with the provider than the hotel. It is well situated for the old part of the City and the historical sites...

...which might be the best part of it (after three weeks staying places with zero heating). Other than that, it's dark, bathroom grouting grimy--even in the larger, deluxe room. If you are in the Thamel neighborhood, it's pretty convenient: can walk to Garden of Dreams and do any last-minute shopping. We just wanted a place with hot water to shower...

My son and I stayed here on the basis of the Lonely Planet review. Perhaps that review was written in some past heyday. The single positive thing I can say about it was that the room was very large. It was also cold, dark and gloomy, as was the entire hotel. The bath towels were filthy, the heating erratic, and...

The rooms themselves were spacious, but the power was rarely on, it was dreadfully cold and dark, the heater did not work, and the whole place was empty. The service was poor is well. I am most surprised about its high rating.

This hotel does not live up to the positive reviews here and in other guides. It seemed like only part of the property was open and there were eerily few guests (it was high season). Hallways were boarded up with plywood and the stairways and halls in use were dimly lit (the lobby too). Wifi works only in the lobby....

The place is hidden from the noise and rush of the city centre but yet you walk down the side street and there you are back in the buzz of Katmandou. The owners and staff are incredibly nice and accommodating, whether you need something or on the contrary want to be left alone, they will make sure your stay fits...

I stayed here for two nights by myself at the end of my travels. Tucked away down a (sometimes quiet) ally, this hotel far exceeded my expectations. The exterior is beautiful: hand carved wooden framing around brick, with a charming fountain that I could hear from my room and drowned out the street noise. The staff spoke excellent English and...

A very nice hotel, cozy rooms that are old Tibetan or Nepalese styled. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was a bit oldish and needs to improve the breakfast items like juice and something other than just eggs and sausages. They didn't have wifi so this was a bugger but they said they will have it connected after...
