Stayed here recently as part of Meaningful Trip tour group. Hotel is big. Has big lobby with friendly front desk staff. Lobby also has sitting area with TV and two computers for guest use. Rooms are spacious and clean. WiFi in room. Located 1 block off main Thamel shopping streets, so it is quiet at night. There is a beautiful...

My wife and I stayed in Samsara before and after our Annapurna Base Camp Trek and we were very unsatisfied with the stay. To be clear, we do not have high standards for hotels and we were actually pretty happy with the much cheaper teahouses we stayed in during our trek. 1) Samsara did not have hot shower. We did...

The Hotel is situated amidst the vibrant life of Thamel in it's northern part so you are close to all opportunities for shopping & food but enjoy a calm and quiet place with a small garden in it's front. Rooms are quite large and nice, although the bathrooms look a bit basic and used. Sheet, blanket and pillow were neat...

Stayed with two friends in one standard-double room where we were provided with an extra bed. The bed covers were dirty and need laundry since we can even see the stains. The towels need some bleaching as well.Very basic amenities in the bathroom, cheap toilet paper, shampoo that doesn't bubble and a very small bit of soap. The doorknob locks...

Just returned from a bout of trekking in Nepal (our first) and upon return to Kathmandu we were booked into the Samsara. It is located in Thamel district where you must stay. Everything is centrally located, great shopping, night life, good food, and you get a taste of the flavor of Nepal in this district. The hotel was airy with...

My husband and I stayed here at the beginning and end of a tour. The hotel is very clean with friendly staff. The hot water was great, however, it smelt funny. We had to be moved on our last night to a different hotel because I think they overbooked. It is located down an alley close to lots of shopping.

Stayed with friend in October. Rooms were clean friendly staff. The manager Puru is sweet and very bubbly. Always was greeted with a huge smile and a bit of a chat. Plumbing had a bit of a problem but the hot shower was good. Very central walking distance to everything. Its down the end of a alley way and had...

Hotel was booked with Nepal Hiking Team. Rooms clean but a bit tired. Plumbing on the fifth floor was slow, but better on the 3rd floor. If you want hot bath/shower get up early and hot water in short supply in evenings. Breakfast was good. Free internet and staff very friendly. Close to the main tourist shopping area.

I stayed at Samsara at the beginning and end of a trekking holiday between 18 - 30 Sept. 2013. The rooms were booked for me by Himalayan Social. I would be happy to stay there again as the rooms and service were excellent for the cost.
