The room seemed more or less clean but it smelled like cats urine, bathroom fairly clean but as mentioned in other reviews not actually with hot water (maybe sometimes but not during our visit). The boy at the reception was rude but just when we decided to leave a more senior employee came in and helped us in a friendly...

Didn't stay but came to the rooftop for a tea stop whilst exploring durba square. So good I had a second. 40 rupees (inc service) for a Nepali tea. Pretty standard but you get to sit out on the rooftop and its free WiFi. Pretty quite here too. I'd have checked out the accommodation if I was staying longer.

The worst hotel in Jhochhen (Freak St). Rude staff, dark rooms, roach-ridden and overpriced. It might be the first hotel you see when you arrive... take ten minutes to look around. Your stay in KTM can be ruined by hotels like this. And there are half a dozen better ones close by - and cheaper

The Monumental Paradise Hotel is rather easy to find. The staff is helpful as courteous. There was no running hot water and the small bathroom is likely to get totally soaked when you have a shower. If you want WiFi signal, you need to go all the way to the rooftop. The beds are comfortable and it's a good place...

I was there a couple of week before the earthquake. Rooms are clean and comfortable, price is ok and the restaurant on the rooftop with very nice staff serve excellent (even if little pricey) vegetarian and non veg food. The real "rank" for this hotel in my opinion is more then "average" bur less than "very good". The staff of...

My first stop when I landed in Kathmandu was Monumental Paradise Guesthouse, and I realised on this experience, I would never want to come to Nepal again. I had been emailing Nishan for the bookings and he promised 24 hours hold and cold water and also free entry into the Basantpur Durbar Square, because the guesthouse was located in Freak...

Clean rooms and very nice roof top restaurant. The position is also very good and if you stay in this hotel, you avoid to pay the entrance in Durbar Square. I was here for 2 weeks and i have nothing to regret... suggested...

It's $15, so keep that in mind. The staff isn't all that helpful, there is no hot water, and Freak Street isn't that great of a location in terms of dining, charm, or noise. But the room was tidy, and they were able to arrange a taxi for us to get to our next destination. It's a budget option in...

Stayed for two weeks, budget prices. Staff not good with English, but your in the middle of town close to hundreds of shops and restaurants. Very basic rooms, no hot water or wifi. I travelled with a 75 year old lady, stairs and no lighting were a challenge, but it was festival time and not much too choose from.
