We stayed at Gaju Suites before and after our Everest Base Camp trek. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It is right in the heart of Thamel which is the best place to be in terms of access to last minute shopping to trek, souvenirs, restaurants, pubs etc. The rooms are recently renovated and very comfortable. They... More

Spent 3 nights total before and after my trek. Hotel was centrally located in Thamel and was a great value. Hotel had 24 hour security and a very friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and recently updated. Great breakfast and late night drinks at the Reef restaurant/bar on the top floor.

We stayed in two different rooms on the start and end of our trip with Ace the Himalaya. Both were clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast at the Reef Lounge on the roof was good - we typically got tea, juice, fruit, omelettes, and some kind of bread (the aloo paratha was very good). We always had hot water,... More

I already felt like home once i step in.Atmosphere is so welcoming. Staff recoognise you from your previous stay which is quiet surprising because they have no of visitor everyday. But still rememeber you. There is stil renovation work on lobby and second floor which normally dont bother as for whole day you will be out. After long tiring day walking around... More

A good and decent place for staying in Thamel. The hotel has almost everything one would require for a vacation or a business trip. The best part is the staff (which I will say is their real strength) right from the door guard to the reception manager, housekeeping staff, restaurant waiters everyone is very responsive. The food (some dishes not... More

They are fixing up the lobby which includes, spa (with great massages, if you need one!), money exchange, Himalaya coffee store stores...will be nice when complete. My stay at Gaju Suite was short and sweet. Front desk was prompt while checking in. Room was clean and tidy. I was given a free wifi upon my arrival. There was 24hrs electricity and plenty of hot water. Hotel is centrally located in Thamel so all the markets and restaurants are just few blocks away from the hotel. Front... More

I have stayed a few times in this hotel, and loved my experience. The WiFi is free, fast and reliable. The hotel is in the heart of the tourist hotspot of Thamel, with a very famous live-music pub on the top floor of the same building. Rooms and the lobby area are very clean and spacious. Although electricity is a... More

This was the first hotel our trekking operator placed us in. The room was large and we appreciated the two bottles of drinking water per day. The included breakfast was great in the restaurant upstairs. No backup generator means that the hot water is unavailable during power outages. The biggest reason for the low review score is that the restaurant... More
