The Kantipur Temple House Hotel has been recommended to us from several friends. We are not looking for big hotel chains, but for just those Hotel with Charisma. The Owner of the Hotel, Mr. Bharat Basnet gave us a very warm welcome. He looks very much on keeping The nature clean, by neglating Plastik bags or bottles and saving electricity...

Thank you Kantipur house for providing an amazing introduction to Nepal. The staff here are so friendly and helpful, breakfast, rooms and grounds are all great! The morning yoga with Yam was really beautiful on the roof top and a good way to meet people.

Amazing hospitality and just love the architecture. There is also a morning yoga session which I did not partake but find that a unique touch. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Eggs are cooked to your orders and a pot of hot tea makes the cold morning worth it. The shower takes a few minutes to heat up during the time...

Kantipur temple house is a very nice place to stay when you are in kathmandu. The place itself is beutyfull and the service is fine. I give 4 points for the hotel. The 5. point i give for the waiter binesh and for suman in the reception. Both of them made our stay unforgetteble. The manegement on katipur can be...

We arrived at the Kantipur Temple after having roughed it for a week, and were greeted by an incredibly warm and professional staff and an architecturally exquisite building and grounds. The rooms vary greatly in size and detail, so ask for one facing the inner courtyard. Fast internet, warm (hot) showers, nightly turn-down service complete with water bottles, electric matress...

I read the negative reviews and had no such problems. We stayed in winter, and still the water was hot, the beds are clean and comfortable, we had 24/7 power, and the staff was super nice and clearly spoke perfect English. In fact, the hotel is beautiful, the food at the restaurant is the best we had in Nepal, and...

I'd better call this place house rather than hotel, thanks to the caring staff and the warming environment. Kantipur is 100% eco-friendly: organic and delicious food, recycled paper, solar panels, etc. The architecture of the place is impressive, authentic nepali newar. And also: it is situated in Thamel, Kathmandu city center, and its perfectly quiet. There is a big green...

Kantipur hotel is not just a hotel! you are in the middle of Thamel, crowded and noisy and you arrive in this beautiful, calm and peaceful place. Warm welcome by the the director! We stayed one night and had dinner there, all organic food from the farm outside Katmandou. We recommended a lot!

I have stayed in 6 hotels in Thamel and this is by far the most wonderful. The design and the service is parallel to none. The staff are warm and friendly. Breakfast is yummy. The Hotel is beautiful to simply walk thru and admire. And as the owner says the only thing not handmade is the cutlery. MUST MUST visit!
