Spent four nights on a business trip and was disappointed with the facilities. The bed was old and not very comfortable the duvet for lack of better world was so thin. The aircon I was told was centrally controlled my room was so cold they brought me a heater to plug in but very uncomfortable to sleep with the heater...

We spent two nights at this hotel at the beginning of a trek and two at the end. The beds were good though the pillows lumpy and the rooms were large and comfortable otherwise, with a sitting area and, on our second visit, even a large balcony overlooking the garden. It was very convenient, the staff very friendly and the...

It is centric, quite clean and cheap. The breakfast is quite good and you can have it at the roof with eggs, fruits, juice and toast or pancake, is different each day. We were five friends in a room a with a private bathroom and we had enough space for all of us.

Spent two nights here..... definitely not up to the mark of a Shangri La property..... old looking rooms and fittings..... even shower did not work properly. On the plus side, location is excellent..... area around hotel has many shops and restaurants. The pool, garden and cafe are good as well.

Shangri La Hotel is about an hours drive from Kathmandu Airport. The drive itself is stressful, with narrow dusty roads and almost everyone jockeying for a small space on the road. But on reaching the hotel it seems to be an oasis of calm. You are greeted by smiling staff, eager to welcome you. Genuinely. The hotel is neat and...

I'll often judge a hotel by the quality of bedding and the shower as you need these for a successful stay. The bed at Shangri La is low to the floor but adequate. However the shower was totally unacceptable. There was almost no pressure so rinsing off was difficult. The hot and cold can either scald or freeze you within...

We had a room on the third floor overlooking the gardens and restaurant area which are beautifully maintained. Our room (maybe a junior suite) had a delightful courtyard ideal for a relaxing pre dinner gin & tonic . The rooms are a bit dated but has what is needed. Lucky for us we arrived on a Wednesday and the general...

It is a very good hotel to stay. The food is very tasty, located at a very posh location, the staff is very hospitable and friendly. The ambience of the hotel is very nice. There is a garden in between the hotel and casino attached with it.
