Earlier this month, we went to Dwarika for a family lunch and chose outdoor seating to be able to enjoy its incredible architecture and beautiful garden. Apart from the friendly staff and remarkable surroundings, our first dining experience was spoiled by the following issues: 1. The presence of dog's poo next to our dining table. We requested the waiter to solve the issue and it took long before the cleaning lady came and cleaned it. 2. In the middle of our meal, few people who appeared to do the measurement while bringing altimeter, came over and stood at a very close distance next to our table, did their work while talking. None of them apologized for creating such a disturbance until sometime later, someone (might be their supervisor) came and apologized for the interruption. Dubbed as Kathmandu's most luxurious hotel, I would not expect to see disgusting dog's poo around Dwarika's garden or outdoor seating and have people standing near our table doing their work while speaking at certain volume that is considered disturbing for guests who are trying to enjoy their family meals. I wonder why it is so difficult to shift the measuring work to other areas where there are no guests in presence while waiting for us to finish our meals? I regret that our first dining experience at Dwarika was not at all fulfilling our expectations.

Excellent service 24/7, beautiful cultural hotel, great diversified food & you won't feel like going out. I loved the decor & the board games here and there. Breakfast was delicious, whole the dinner at the Nepalese restaurant was amazing.

We went here twice for dinner. Outdoor by the pool and inside with traditional floor seating. The service, food and decor were all amazing. The scenery here is unreal. Such a beautiful place that can also be quite intimate and romantic. Such a unique experience!

We stayed at the Dwarika’s Hotel in Kathmandu on the front end of a Trekking vacation in the Himalayas. Clean, modern rooms with fantastic architecture throughout. Phenomenal service by an attentive and helpful staff. The courtyard offers a peaceful and beautiful sanctuary from the noise and congestion of the third world developing urban hustle and bustle only yards away on the outside of the hotel. Large spacious rooms. Good food. Beautiful pool and bar. Likely the best hotel in Kathmandu. Highly recommended. I will stay here again, without reservation, if I ever return to Kathmandu.
