We spent three nights here - our room was lovely, light, with lots of space and a comfortable bed. We ate at the main restaurant, in the courtyard and the Japanese restaurant. The food was pretty good - lovely fresh produce from the farms and good coffee in the mornings. The bar is the original building is lovely with a...

It is a very sweet hotel, but a bit overpriced. Additionally, in late afternoon they have very loud music playing to welcome guests. It is loud enough to prevent you from having a conversation in your room.

We stayed at this hotel twice, a few days before Tibet and a few days after. Rooms are spacious and both of ours were quite different. A very interesting hotel using some architectural elements salvaged from buildings torn down or destroyed. Desk is helpful and the onsite restaurant is very good.

This is simply a stunningly beautiful hotel. No detail is spared on the interior design filled with hand carved wooden windows and pillars, offering a truly authentic nepalese experience. Staff are exceptional ( especially reception who go out of their way to help you, and know every detail of your stay). Nothing was too difficult ( including lending my husband...

The hotel building is so good that it is hard to remember that it was only built recently. The rooms are large but there are few cupboards and those that there are can be found five feet up.The doors are poorly made and and don't shut properly or fit - not the quality of the building itself! Whilst the building provides...

As soon as you step into this hotel from the hustle bustle of the street it sits on you step into what I term a refined version of Kathmandu, the air seems cleaner and the surroundings have the cleanliness and attention to detail you will struggle to find elsewhere in Kathmandu. When you step into the room, it's easy to...

This hotel is quite beautiful. Wonderfully decorated and furnished with original and replica Newari furniture and fittings. Excellent food, efficient, welcoming and friendly service and a quiet haven just minutes a way from the noise and bustle of the city.

Staying at the Dwarika’s Hotel was an absolute treat! There is no better use for the phrase “Urban Oasis” than to describe the comfort that the hotel provides from the hectically beautiful city just outside its hand carved wooden gates. The food was delicious; the rooms were spectacular, and the ambiance of the courtyard just serene. Never in my life...

Stayed in this wonderful quaint hotel for 4 nights, January 2017. Much of the hotel rebuilt using antique window frames, decorative carved lintels, and other hand carved wooden pieces. It is a world heritage site and deserves it. Service extraordinary! 3 or 4 restaurants on site. I will visit again!!

8 years ago when we were last in Kathmandu we had promised that next time we would treat ourselves to a stay at Dwarika's. This time we did just that and it did not disappoint! Architecturally unique, close to the airport, Dwarika's is a beautiful hotel in every way. It manages to be sophisticated, welcoming and still pay homage to...
