This hotel was one disappointment after another. The rooms were shabby, even by Nepal's standards. I used their travel desk to book a driver for a sunrise drive. No driver showed up for my 4am pick-up. When I asked the desk to call the booking agent, his phone was turned off. There was no manager on duty until 8am; so...

This is a charming place to stay with a lovely atmosphere. The free airport pickup was helpful and the food in the candle-lit restaurant is spot-on. Only downside for us was the loud music coming from a nearby bar that boomed into our simplicity room keeping us awake the first night. Beds super comfy and lots of nooks and crannies...

Great central location. The hotel is set back from the hustle and noise of Thamel district. The accommodation blocks are set around a lovely manicured garden area with delightful seating and table areas. A real sun trap and perfect to relax in after a mountain Trek or days shopping. I stayed in 4 separate standard rooms over 6 days in...

I had such a wonderful stay I didn't want to leave. In fact as soon as I did change location I started missing that incredibly beautiful and zen garden. It's the best garden in Kathmandu! Sipping on a Nepali Chiyaa and reading a book amongst the sculptured greenery and the sound of the birds...such a peaceful respite to the busy-ness...

KGH is a contradiction in the middle of the madness of Thamel. The garden is fantastic, quiet, peaceful, and a fragrant break from the craziness of the streets outside. The staff are lovely if not a bit disorganised and the cheaper rooms could do with a facelift, but overall a great central place to stay in Kathmandu. Just make sure...

We booked here and asked for a double room. The room was otherwise fine but the wifi was not good. You could only...

Room I stayed in on the far side of the hotel with two others was very basic, however it did meet our needs during our stay and I can't fault them for that, the deluxe suites I have seen with others I travelled with are excellent and westernised to the extent we thought we hadn't left the UK! I stayed for a night, when passing through Kathmandu in April 2015.
