Hotel first impression once you are past the guards at the gate is a wonderful surprise, after a long day of shopping and exploring it is a great place to come and instantly relax. The facilities the hotel offer are also great with room service for freshly prepared meals, a Spa with a beauty parlour. Absolutely loved my stay and...

KGH never fails to charm its guests, whether it is the warmth of the staff or the nice comfy rooms, it's been the same over last 20 years. Now they have a new building with ultramodern amenities. A must stay while in Kathmandu, if one can leave with the narrow lanes of Thames. Actually it is hard to believe that...

Recently my friends and I stayed at the Kathmandu Guest House (KGH ) on November 11 and 26. KGH is located at Thames district of Kathmandu, which is the happening place for tourists with many restaurants and cafes, as well as many shop selling trekking and climbing gears and clothing. The hotel provide comfortable room with sufficient supply of toiletries...

After a wonderful yet challenging trek through the Annapurna Circuit, and a difficult 4x4 and bus ride back to Kathmandu from Pokara that lasted 20 hours... the saving grace of world class standard in comfort and tranquility that is the Kathmandu Guest House truly redeemed us back from the pit of exhaustion, pain and torment that was our long trip...

I have been to hundreds of hotel but if I have to prepare a list of 'fake' Ines this hotel would have a good chance to be included. As a building and rooms and interiors, it's a well done and very good. However, they apparently seems to cater to Europeans only. I can't comprehend why? The moment I arrived, the...

Kathmandu is not known for comfort, it is a busy dusty noisy and cramped place but this hotel is a welcome bit of tranquility in the chaos. Beautiful gardens, good service, reasonable food (by Nepalese standards) and good rooms make this a reliable place to stay. Always professional and capable, the staff here know Nepal well. Smack nang in the...

I have stayed at the KGH four times in recent years and am booked in again in December and January. In the fascinating mayhem that is Kathmandu this hotel is an oasis that, literally, caters for all. There are budget rooms and luxury rooms besides a restaurant that serves both Nepali and international cuisine. You can trust the guides and...
