The Hotel Family Home is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The beds are great. The hotel is located in Thamel with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. And most important, the staff is excellent: very friendly and helpful with all of your needs. I definitely recommend it.

PROS: central location, clean and spacious room. hot showers worked. Staff were friendly and helpful. Power supply and power outlets were more than adequate. The guy running the place, Mukti, made sure all our needs were taken care of. The only meals we had there were breakfast which was ok.

This was my second stay at Hotel Family Home having stayed here in January. Both stays have been very good and I would have no hesitation in staying here again. I found the staff to be friendly, the breakfast very nice and the location good. The top floor has a very nice rooftop terrace which is great for breakfast but...

I stayed in this hotel 3 times in 10 days. 1st time - Room 602 - Large twin room - Beside the desk & chair, it had extra table and 2 chairs. The internet was really good. Only problem, when taking shower the bad smell from the sewage. 2nd time - Room 902 - It was on the top floor...

PROS: The location was very good - close to shops, restaurants in Thamel, 10-15 mins walking to the Durbar Square. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, they booked Everest flight for us (it was late in the evening) and ordered taxi to the airport (500 npr). They also changed our room for a more quiet one. Good sleep...

This hotel is located in the heart of Thamel which is very convenient for shopping. I was referred to this hotel by the sister hotel Hotel Family Home Pokhara. Both hotels are with good service for sightseeing arrangement. The managers Mr. Mukti (Annex 1) and Mr. Arjun (in pokhara) are friendly and helpful. I was happy with the hotel there.

I have stayed there on December 25th, it is nothing like what is illustrated in the internet. I was extremely disappointed. They seem to have two different hotels owned by the same person, I was moved from one hotel to the other with out any notice. Due to the fact I was arriving very late and leaving very early, I...

Took us ages to find this place as it was hidden in between many buildings in the center of the Jyatha area in Thamel. It's only accessible via small lanes that meander into a complex, of which the hotel occupies the top floors. Unfortunately, it's not so safe for single female travelers as the lane becomes a hang out of...

Hot showers, wi-fi in most rooms, comfortable beds, clean rooms, pleasant staff, wonderful and filling included breakfast and a great manager (I believe also owner) who...

“The Super Deluxe Room we stayed in had a King Size bed (a real King size mattress - not two doubles pushed together) and a single double bed. It was very roomy and allowed for us to put a mattress on the floor as well for our other kids. The street side rooms were not noisy at all so don't be concerned about those!”
