I have stayed at Blue Mountain 3 times now and every time has been absolutely wonderful The rooms are clean and accomodating and make you feel at home right away (sometimes you even get a giant stuffed bear). The staff are attentive, polite and incredibly friendly and it is only a short walk from the centre of Thamel- meaning that... More

We recently spent 4 nights at the blue mountain homestay. The accommodations were basic but clean. Staff was friendly and helpful with trip planning, taxi and bus use help etc. The homestay is conveniently located within short walking distance to Thamel district and all major tourist sites are easily accessible with a short cab ride for under 500 rupees. The... More

This cozy homestay located down a quiet street is an oasis in the middle of busy Katmandu, Centrally located, it's an easy walk to Thamel, a little longer walk to Swayambhunath (commonly known as the Monkey Temple). The rooms were clean and quiet, breakfast was delicious, staff very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would stay here again.

I stayed here twice during my time in Kathmandu, for a total of almost a month's time. Blue Mountain is easily one of the best homestay experiences I have had in all my travels. The place is located close enough to the action in the city, but is also far enough to provide a bit of peace away from the... More

Blue Mountain Homestay BMH is located just a block north of Thamel. Far enough that you are shielded from the constant harassment towards tourists but close enough so you're always only minutes away from anything. Premises are clean and very secure. Staff is friendly and helpful. Being a Homestay, you actually share this four stories house with the owner and... More

Comfy bed, nice room, and the friendly owner was so kind to invite all his guests a genuine Nepali dinner. Breakfast was good too. Value for money. Few minutes walking distance away from the noisy bustling Thamel.
