The staff was friendly, but let me first say this is not a hotel. It is a bed and breakfast above the sherpa shop in Kathmandu. The staff (only met 1 guy and some cleaning ladies) is friendly, but not always around; There are about 8 rooms I guess. It is quite centrally located, near durbar, but on a busy...

I stayed there for a couple of nights. The rooms smell very bad and the bathrooms are disgusting. No mirrors and completely dirty. The last I found the door of my room open. I think someone opened it while I was in the terrace. Luckily my stuff were not stolen.

What a horrible experience! We were two girls travelling together, and we stayed 2 nights at Kathmandu Terrace on our way back from lovely Pokhara - two nights of torture! First, the hotel is located on multiple stories in a big creepy building with dark, slimy stairwells, where we didn't even feel safe in the daytime. They gave us a...

My wife and I spent 3 nights in this hotel last month. Lovely place, very nice and clean rooms - bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Met the owner and his wife who treated us like royalty. We stayed for two nights in this hotel at the end of March and it has it plus points and its negative points. I really am drawn between loving this place but also being frustrated by it. Firstly it is in an excellent location right in the heart of the Thamel district and as such this is perfect. The rooms...

The hotel has many basic rooms and as such is convenient to ensure availability, however room prices change regularly and tax may or may not be included, so check beforehand. Hot water is irregular as it is in most of Kathmandu, but here even less regular. Definitely do not go to the tour agent opposite (run by the same people),...
