The huge staff takes excellent care of you. Rooms are small, but clean. Hot water not reliable, but it's Katmandu. Hotel generator provides backup power and takes a few minutes to kick in. Really nice garden area, and huge breakfasts. Drinking water provided in courtyard. The staff will bend over backwards to make your stay great. Wifi also very spotty,...

Second year I stayed here and again a very pleasant experience, some of the staff even recognized me after 12 months! If you're looking for more than a guesthouse and a central but quiet location, Thamel Eco is the perfect place to stay.

We stayed at Thamel Eco resort before heading to Pokhara, then a trek. Great Thamel location. The accommodation was pleasant, staff friendly, helpful, a nice garden bar area to sit and have a drink. A few power cuts as per normal for Kathmandu, wi-fi worked fine when power on. Great breakfasts in restaurant. Liked the whole entry to the hotel,...

We stayed here for one night, and the hotel was recommended to us by Earthbound Expeditions. The hotel is in a quiet area off one of the main streets in Thamel, but we had no issues with noise. Breakfast was excellent. Good value for your money.

I was booked into this hotel as part of a tour of Nepal, although I requested and paid extra for a superior single occupancy room for my first night there. I went with an open mind and was determined not to compare the facilities with European hotels. All the staff were Ŵfriendly and helpful. The Thamel area is incredibly busy...

The hotel is very nice and just off the Main Street in Thamel. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The bathroom was dreadful. Every fixture/pipe leaked so the floor was always wet. There was no control over the temperature of the shower. The wifi was so slow it was pointless even trying to use it.

The staff at this hotel are what made my stay so enjoyable, they were without exception delightful, always so polite and helpful. The 24 hour kitchen was excellent, and most importantly the room was clean, private and hot showers were welcome after an 80 klm trek. The courtyard, a peaceful enclave away from the chaos on the street was one...

Thamel Eco resort is conveniently located down a quiet alleyway smack in the middle of the busy Thamel shopping area. There's a very peaceful courtyard with a small stupa in the middle that's perfect for just hanging out after a busy day of sightseeing. The rooms are clean and quiet (if you're able to ignore the plaintive rooster that felt...

Although individually most of the staff here are lovely the manager is terrible. Some of the staff including the manager, Madhav Lamsal. think it's appropriate to sit on their guest's porch chatting loudly at 6.30am. Staff become even more animated late at night when on occasion it sounds as though a brawl is about to break out. 6 hours after...

Checking into this hotel, we were greeted by happy smiles and generally welcomed. We were brought up to clean rooms and warm showers. Located just off the tourist line it was centrally located and just far enough off the road to make it quiet. Breakfast were tasty and room service was available to all hours. On checking out of this...
