I recently spent a few days in Kathmandu and stayed the entire time at the Thamel Eco Resort. Really nice. It is at the end of a quiet street where you can barely hear the traffic and yet less than 60 seconds down the road you're in the thick of the Thamel action. The rooms are spacious, the beds are...

A great hotel - clean, great staff, good food and close to 'the action' in Thamel. The staff are pleasant, courteous, helpful and friendly. I've stayed here on both my visits to Kathmandu and would not stay anywhere else. Th courtyard is especially great - a haven away from the bustle of Thamel - quiet and great place to sit...

We stayed at Thamel Eco Resort when we arrived in Kathmandu for the Ghorepani Poonhill trek. Whilst it was right in the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist area of shops and restaurants it is set back just off the Main Street and despite the noise of the traffic it was really quiet and peaceful. On arrival we were...

I have stayed here several times. Mohan has ensured that the resort is getting better. Showers are now consistently hot. WIFI is free and in short not a bad place at all to spend some time. Conveniently located in the centre of noisy Thamel, but the garden is a peaceful place to while away a few hours.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. In a crazy city a nice retreat. Great wifi. Excellent day trips organised as well. Location ideal - walking distance from everything in the Thamel district.

Thamel is a noisy place, but Thamel Eco-Resort is just off the main street and is amazingly quiet. The gardens are beautiful and provides a great place to relax after a busy day in Kathmandu. Rooms are good, and service was really great. Wonderful staff.

We slept in the part of the building that is furthest away from the streets and heard absolutely no sound. Rooms were clean and staff friendly. Location in the center of Thamel is perfect. I would definitely visit again.

I was adviced by a friend who was there a few months ago. Having just a few days in Kathmandiu this was a very good choice. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Thamel, and I was lucky to have a corner room with two different views. The room was not really big, but I found the bed...
