Great place to stay in Kathmandu just a short walk from the more crowded streets in Thamel. Khem and the whole staff are very friendly and helpful! And the breakfast was amazing and filling. It was nice to not have to get up and worry about finding a place to eat in the morning. The beds are comfy with a...

Arrived 2nd November 2016 and stayed 4 nights. Would rate 6 stars if we could ! Awesome breakfast and Khem + the team couldn't be any more helpful if they tried. Made our time in Kathmandu very comfortable and a bit less stress free. Would definitely stay again ! Ste & Danny from Liverpool

This is my 3rd time staying with Khem at Elbrus home and would go back again. Elbrus home is very central to the tourist area of Thamel. All of the main shopping and eating areas can be reached with 5 minutes of walking. The hostel itself is very clean and has good wifi, en-suite rooms and nice toof terraces for...

Had an amazing time at Elbrus home. The staff are super friendly and up for a laugh, the garden area is so chill where you can sit and read or have a few drinks. On top of that you're served a nice breakfast every morning which puts you in great form for exploring thamel about 5 minutes away up the...

Stayed for two nights in a private en-suite. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and it was at a decent price. Approximately 10 minute walk into the centre of Thamel, allowing some respite in the evenings.

The room was pretty clean and nice and the breakfast was good as well. But the manager of the place was always forcing us to do our trekking with his company and he wanted more than double the amount of which is normal. After declining and telling him we are going to do the trekking by ourself, he told us...

Don't get excited by all the good ratings ! Even if the place would be nice (garden, other really nice staff, showers) the owner completly destroyed the atmosphere of the place. For 6 days he pushed us doing a trekking with his company – when we told him that we are going to do a trekking with a friend we...

I enjoyed my stay in Elbrus and would recommend it: the location is very close to Thamel but a bit outside to allow you to enjoy a bit of peace in this animated city! The rooms are clean and furnished in a nice way, the bathroom was perfectly clean as well, with a real hot shower! The breafast is not...

I recently spent 3 night sin Elbrus home, having never been to Kathmandu. It can be a quite overwhelming city but this place helped me settle for the following reasons: - Perfect location. Literally 5 minute walk form the bustling Thamel (which is where you want to be). However it was far enough away to let you sleep at night...
