Don't get excited by all the good ratings ! Even if the place would be nice (garden, other really nice staff, showers) the owner completly destroyed the atmosphere of the place. For 6 days he pushed us doing a trekking with his company – when we told him that we are going to do a trekking with a friend we...

I enjoyed my stay in Elbrus and would recommend it: the location is very close to Thamel but a bit outside to allow you to enjoy a bit of peace in this animated city! The rooms are clean and furnished in a nice way, the bathroom was perfectly clean as well, with a real hot shower! The breafast is not...

I recently spent 3 night sin Elbrus home, having never been to Kathmandu. It can be a quite overwhelming city but this place helped me settle for the following reasons: - Perfect location. Literally 5 minute walk form the bustling Thamel (which is where you want to be). However it was far enough away to let you sleep at night...

I stayed at Elbrus already for the second time, as it fits just to my needs for a great hotel: quiet but still in the northern tip of Thamel ( no noises during night time) , super clean rooms and bathroom, great terraces and a garden for having some time off, huge breakfast ( banana porridge, toast, butter, honey, eggs,...

My girlfriend and I just spent 3 nights at Elbrus Home, and it was as per the previous posts: Khem is a wonderful host; helpful, informed and on hand when you need assistance but not in your face or pushy re booking trips. Rooms are clean, hot water and wifi are as plentiful as power cuts permit. The breakfast is...

Khem and Ali were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The outdoor setting was lovely for lunch, and watching the sunset from the balcony was stunning. Elbrus is a short walk to Thamel where you can get just about anything you can imagine - there's a wide variety of places to eat and drink, and pick up any...

The owners of this place definitely make it special. Amazing breakfast every morning in the garden. The double room is spacious and the bed is extremely comfortable for a hostel. Wifi is strong. 5 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of Thamel.

The elbrus home is at the north of thamel, which is perfect, not too loud and you walk only 5 minutes to thamel center. The owners are really kind and helpful. On our fist day he booked us the bus to pokhara and back and also walked us to the busstation. We left the luggage here for free, also during...

We made it to the Elbrus home at the Thing day of our trip through Asia. When we arrived we didn't know how long we warten to stay, but that wasn't a problem. We have been received by a really kind man, the owner of the Elbrus home. The Garden is beautiful and you can leave your motorcycle behind closed...
