For a European traveller this hotel was quite basic, very hard beds and rough sheets and towels but the staff did help me out when my clothes got wet from the airport deluge in Kolkata. Basic evening meals but nice breakfast.

Hotel is average, but guests must be very careful about restaurant and other billings as everytime they make totalling mistakes and boost the bill by more than 1000 rupees. Happy people happily shaving tourists. This happens in all the places in Bhutan.

This was a disappointing welcome for our first night in "Beautiful Bhutan". The public area were not a warm welcome, It didn't get better when I saw my room! Large yes but bland very disappointing Bathroom. The view was good and I wished I had stayed in the view which was Thimphu. Dinner was ok but we had those 5 standard buffet dish dishes we were going to experience at the other 2 hotels we stayed in Bhutan. Last but not least the hotel doesn't take credit cards only cash?

This hotel is conveniently located over the river and close to town. Rooms are small but clean with private balcony to see the town and the night lights. Food is average. Staff is very nice. Can be noisy with a lot of tourists

This hotel is just in front of the city center, but there's a river in the middle, so it's a 20 mn walk to get there through the nearest bridge. Fortunately, taxis are not expensive. Its best feature is certainly its views over the city, specially at night, best if you get a high floor room... but there are no lifts! No big deal if you are young and/or fit, but a nuisance for aged people, or when you get back tired from a long exploration day.
Hotel premises look old and tired, but everything was clean and our room and beds were comfortable. They seem to deal mainly with local and eastern travellers, so the lounge and restaurant, often crouded, share a pretty interesting atmosphere for a westerner.
Breakfast and dinner buffet were very limited, and its quality was below Bhutan hotels average. Also, this was the only hotel we stayed in Bhutan where there were no mineral water bottles provided in the room. WiFi is theoretically available in-room but it didn't work, and in the lobby it was very often saturated with guests connections.

For many Timphu might be the first stop on their Bhutan trip. This hotel is a good place for your first nights. Good location on the other side of the river: quiet with a nice view (I believe from all rooms) of the river and the vally, only a short (5-10 minutes depending on your speed) walk over the bridge to the "center" which is just two streets.

Super friendly staff in the hotel and the restaurant. Good food for breakfast and dinner.

Nice room with a balcony. Through the fly screens I could hear the river flowing below us - no better way to fall asleep.

The best Hospitality we have received in Entire Bhutan, very good view of the Thimpu river & the city. Though off from the city but the view from the veranda would be most rewarding. Hospitality starting from the gate keeper, reception, housing keeping & restaurant staff is exceptional. They are always there to help you. They will never say no. recommend stay at this place if we do not want to stay in the city.

This is a good hotel to stay while in Thimphu. It has all its rooms facing the Thimphu River and offer a great view of Thimphu City on the other bank of the River. A football stadium just opposite the hotel but on the other bank of the River comes alive in the evening with many young Bhutanese children playing football there. Location is good, away from the hustle bustle of the City & the market. However the hotel does not have any elevator. One has to compulsory climb the stairs if the room is located on the upper floors.

Good view of Thimphu but well away from town centre. Lots of stairs and no lift if you are on one of the upper floors. Service pleasant and polite. Rooms clean, beds a little too firm but otherwise OK. Food adequate but not outstanding. Very good and thorough body massage in the spa.
