We stayed at Namseling Hotel for 2 nights and had a very comfortable stay. The hotel location is very close to the city centre, a 5-minute walk from most restaurants, shops and Taj Tashi as well. The location of the hotel offers many advantages since we were free to explore the many restaurants Thimpu has to offer. The room was quite beautiful, with a great heater and a spacious bathroom as well. The breakfast service in the hotel was quite good, with good Indian options. Overall, the hotel is a great deal and I would definitely recommend it!

My wife and myself visited Thimphu during Nov 2019 , when we stayed in this hotel. Its a good hotel , comfortable and close to the main city . The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were very cordial and quick to service. Overall a great stay and highly recommended. However , I would like to make a small suggestion to the management for upgrading the ventilation of the bathroom. Sometimes it used to smell , which was a cause of little discomfort. Our room was on the third floor facing the road . Hope the management will try and get a remedy for this soon.

Hotel is located in the main part of the city with easy accessibility. Decent hotel but rated low because of 2 things, the bed was hard and we had issues with water supply in one room however the same was sorted out in next day. Staff were friendly.

Hotel was very good. Staff was very courteous and helpful and professional. Good rooms, excellent location, fantastic rooms. Great experience. P.S. DO NOT go to "Hotel New Grand." They had the rudest staff and unhygienic rooms with stains and hairs in the bed sheets.

Firstly - not the hotels fault but the DOGS. Barking all night, Thimphu has a stray dog problem with them barking all night. The hotel was comfortable but there weren't many people staying here so the restaurant had only a set menu for dinner and breakfast. The rooms are comfortable but the TV didn't work and the noise reduction for Indian families yelling at each other was missing. Reception staff and the restaurant staff were extremely friendly and provided tea upon arrival each night.

Hotel and room were clean. Mattresses were very hard, and pillows too thin....so not the best night's sleep! TV in room didn't work. Wifi in room was OK and free. Bathroom was clean - water leaked from shower unit onto bathroom floor, but not a big problem. Staff were friendly - however they told us dinner buffet is 7-9pm and asked what time we wanted to eat. We said 7pm - but then they asked if we could come at 8pm! We asked why not 7pm if the option is 7-9pm - they said OK, can we make it 7:30 to 8:00pm. So we asked if we can have dinner at 7:30pm.......they said OK. So we went down to the restaurant at 7:30pm - no food set up in the buffet at all, and they told us it would be ready at 8pm! I had also ordered vegetarian.....and they said this woud be fine. While we sat waiting, a manager asked us how everything was......we told him about this timing saga and he said he'd get some food served to us immediately. A few minutes later they brought us some soup - a ridiculously small amount in each bowl - about 3 spoonfuls. It was very average soup! 5 minutes later they brought us some dishes of what was going to be served in the buffet at 8pm. They were very bland and tasteless......the "vegetarian" option was white rice, fried potato and boiled bitter gourd. Hmmm - not very tasty at all. Breakfast buffet the next morning was marginally better - but still not great. We had better breakfasts at other hotels for the other 3 days we were in Bhutan. Thankfully we only stayed here one night......then moved on! We only stayed in Thimphu 1 night, so can't compare this to other options in the city - but definitely wouldn't recommend eating here! There's a pizza restaurant next door - maybe that's a better option?!.....

Clean hotel and room, but rock-hard mattresses on our beds, and pillows very thin. TV in room didn't work. They told us dinner is served from 7-9pm and asked what time we'd like to have dinner. They were very bland and tasteless......especially the "vegetarian" option. The soup portion was literally about 3 spoonfuls. Thankfully we only stayed here one night......then moved on!

Very nice new hotel in city centre, just 2 minutes walk from main shopping area of Thimphu. Hotel itself is not on main road, but many well known food joints just around it. We visited this hotel in mid April, hotel was almost empty during my stay. So there was no buffet breakfast or dinner available. Though they used to provide enough ala carte breakfast, for indians- poori-bhaji and vada were only options, and occ fruits. But variety of bread, jam, eggs were ample, and quality was very good- so in general no complaints. But before booking, option of breakfast and dinner included may not be taken, as la carte menu is extensive and very cheap- probably less them breakfast- dinner included package. One more problem of hotel is their backside rooms overlook nearby residential complex, with no good view. From front side, u can see very nice mountains- so ask for front side room when available. Rooms are good size, clean and nice clean bathrooms with good hot water supply.
