The resort is around 7 km away from Thimphu and is situated at the hill top at Taba overlooking the Thimphu city. Since, we were driving our own car, it was a bit difficult for us to locate the resort. However, once we reached the location, we were really impressed and amazed with the hospitality of the entire staff. The rooms were really good with all wooden works and all the traditional wall paintings. We must mention the name of Sonam Choki, one of the front office staff of the resort who has been really generous with us and accompanied us to all the sites we visited explaining every details. She made us feel at home throughout our stay at Thimphu and my children in particular, still cherish the fond memories of the time they spent with her. They plucked fresh apples & peaches with her. The food too was very good and we highly recommend this resort for would be visitors to Thimphu.

Amidst nature in Thimpu. Away from the town and noise this is a large property with lot of woods. The rooms are really big. The balcony was nice and cosy. Food was good and we were served mostly Indian foods. It was nice staying in WANGCHUK RESORT. Though the property is situated slightly away from the main local area but the resort is worth experiencing as it is beautifully developed with various types of local beautiful colourful flower plants, grass lawns and small beautiful shrubs. The rooms are clean, spacious, having beautiful views of nature through their balcony, with provision of heater, geyser, bathtub, tv, teapot etc. The staffs are very cooperative; the counter staffs are ever ready to help. We had no complaints and would return to this hotel should we travel to Thimpu again. There are absolutely no noises only birds chirping. Great experience and thanks for the lovely memories...

Out of the busy capital city and nested among forested mountains is the peaceful resort with its own little monastery for meditation.
Conference facility is large. Should be scaleable for smaller groups to minimize use of heater during winter.
Restaurant is cosy and variety is good.
Drive up to resort was a little bumpy.
Great place for peace, fresh air and scenic view.

Location of this property is excellent but they need to improve upon housekeeping and overall hygiene. Lobbies and rooms are stuffy and smelly. No trained masseurs are employed from r the spa. Views from the property are great.

We reached this resort late evening after an exhaustive city tour for welcome high tea. It was very chilly evening but we have to wait for an hour waiting to get our room due to some miscommunication. Anyway the rooms are good with heaters & with attached balcony. Lot of greenery all around. Food is upto the mark. The Wi Fi is working with good speed.

Best place to stay in Thimpu. Amazing rooms with spectacular views. Staff is professional and really helpful. They serve authentic Bhutanese food. They also provide sim cards to tourists. The have a beautiful sun deck, where they serve tea and coffee. If you are in Thimpu, don't hesitate to book here for a wonderful experience.

The hotel is located outside Thimphu city but has excellent services and pretty rooms with very helpful staff. Good food and nice views from their sun deck. Do not opt for the cottages though if you want nice views from your room. Water shortage at least once a day was our only concern as such.

it is one of the most amazingly located hotels i have ever stayed in. A huge property in the middle of a jungle and as u open the windows to your room u see nature all spread out before you.Every room has a balcony that you can sit in and enjoy the mornings.Rooms are large and airy and we had no complaints. Cannot comment on the dishonesty of the staff, we found them very courteous nd helpful. the dining hall is quaint and has some nice pictures of the royal family as the owner is part of it. Strongly recommended for a good nights rest after hectic drive and sight seeing A walk round the resort itself is an outing in itself.

What a place to be in Thimpu. Located little outside on a hill, overlooking Thimpu, this is a lovely resort in all resepct. You can see lot of birds around the resort. The place is colder than Thimpu due to heights. Fully surrounded by Pine trees.
