The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance of the shops if you want to pick up souvenirs. On arrival, we enjoyed a delicious tea while the reception staff dealt with check-in formalities. They were extremely friendly. A special thank you goes to the lady who helped us with the connection to the wi-fi, as our equipment did not want to work with it. Our room was very spacious and clean with all the amenities a traveller would need. The toiletries were of good quality, we loved them. The food was enjoyable, especially for Indian tastes. International and vegetarian options were also available and portions were generous. We had some communication problems with the staff at the in-house restaurant, but no big deal. Note that there are lifts at the hotel, which is not a common feature in Bhutan.

Stay and hospitality by staff was par excellence, we enjoyed so much that we would like to visit Thimphu year after year. From relaxing in the luxurious Lemon tree to savoring stunning ambience outside the widows and beyond, our first visit to Thimphu was a magical way to watch the world go by. I had a very pleasant and memorable stay. We were a family of 4 and had taken 2 rooms.
The hotel has an excellent location. Its right at the main clock tower square and a walking distance to all the major shopping places in Thimphu. The riverside walkway is about 600mtrs from the hotel and i went there on both the mornings for a run. It was simply superb.
The staff at the hotel is extremely helpful and warm. They did their best to make our stay pleasant. The warmth starts right at the front desk staff and you see it with house keeping and the restaurant as well. Thank you to each one of them!!
Food was good and tasty. Not too many options, but whatever they had on the spread was delightful. They have enough vegetarian and Indian options as well.
The hotel has elevators -- i am explicitly mentioning since some of the hotels in Bhutan dont have this). You can ask for the mountain view rooms. Its beautiful. The rooms are spacious and have all amenities. There are room heaters in all the rooms.

I chose Lemon Tree Hotel over other options and was deeply disappointed. Bathroom without shower curtain posed a big threat of slipping. Wash basin was broken. The sliding door of bathroom couldn't be locked from inside. Inspite of repeated reminders. Shampoo was not added to the dispenser during 3-day stay. Food was less than average in taste, quality and presentation. Signs of neglect and economy was evident all over.

The hotel is centrally located and is very clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves good and delicious meals and the staff is very courteous and always there to help you. It’s a home away from home. We had stayed for two nights and completely enjoyed it.

Great hotel near to main town. If you want to explore the town this hotel is centrally located just infront of national stadium. Staff is professional & food is awesome. Highly recommended. They are always ready to help you. Beds were kept cold with electrict heaters that helped us keep warm.

Stayed here for 6 days, waiting for immigration clearance to head out to teach at Sherubtse College for the year. Felt well taken care of by all the staff. The dining room offered a wide variety, and cooked orders according to my preferences. Room service was equally competent. It's also in a great location for walking around Thimpu. Also appreciated being able to work out on the elliptical trainer daily. I'm from the US, and this was my first time in Bhutan. My stay was comfortable and relaxing.

Very courteous and helpful staff. Very Good Vegetarian food. Their chef is a vegetarian from Uttarakhand and maintains the separation in preparation of veg and non veg food. Convenient location. Good place to stay for families.Go for the Mountain View Rooms which have a good view and are more spacious.

Having stayed in Hyderabad for more than 5 years I have tasted the best Biryani on planet.Having missed the Biryani so much I came hunting for one at the Lemon Tree Hotel In the capital city Thimphu. And a delicious plate of Briyani landed on my table prepared by Chef Anoop Pandey and the team. I even didn't realized how I finished the entire Biryani, I over ate. It was just awesome.
