We booked 2 rooms for a family stay and were so pleased with the hotel we decided to extend our stay for another night. The rooms with balcony offer a scenic view of Thimphu valley, and the hotel is in a secluded spot for a quiet night's rest (you may hear some stray dogs but this is a given anywhere in Thimphu!) The rooms are clean and the basic amenities provided. I especially liked the very strong water pressure in the shower, and the hot water geyser, room heater and water boiler provided were a blessing in the 3-degree cold. We ordered room service, and both the Bhutanese and Indian items ordered were tasty and freshly prepared. The service is wonderful, special thanks to Mr.Tandin and Mr.Choney who were courteous and helpful. Oro Villa will definitely be our choice of accommodation the next time we visit Thimphu as well ! Thank you for a memorable stay !

I have been to Bhutan many times and on most occasions, I've had a stay at the Oro Villa Thimphu. This 3-star hotel is located 10 mins from the heart of the town (Clocktower Square) and features stunning views of the Thimphu valley. The views can be had from the balcony of the room and also from the restaurant. Rooms were nice and spacious, with all the amenities one can expect from a 3-star property like 24-hr hot water and Wifi. My meal plan was MAP so had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Food was very well prepared, not too spicy and customized as per my wishes. I also had few conversations with the owner and manager, and they seemed very humble and nice. Overall I fully recommend this hotel when you visit Bhutan on tour.

The rooms were clean, food was good and people were great! The owner and manager were very attentive and took very good care of us. We were treated like family. Extra points for the views. Will not forget the warmth received from the owner and the staff.

I went solo in June 2023 and stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The location is fantastic with a lovely view of the mountains from the room balcony. The staff were very welcoming, polite and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and spacious. I had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is planning to visit Thimphu.

The hotel's services were equally impressive. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met promptly and with a smile. Our experience was nothing short of outstanding. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable stay. I cannot wait to return in the future.

Pretty hotel atop a hillock with a good view of the valley. Comfy rooms clean linen. No lift is the disadvantage. Decent restaurant and service is good. Generally good value for money and suitable for a short stay

The room is clean, spacious equipped with a room heater. The bathroom had a decent sized geyser.
The staff was very helpful, we checked in quite late at night and someone was there to recieve us.
Restaurant is just average. Dishwise review Stir-fry vegetable was horrible
The main negative of this place is, it's quite far from the main town. So you having a personal car is advised.

This property is far away from the city almost nearby the Huge Budhha Statue on top of the hill. This kind of place suits to people with their own transportation.
We have been given the room on 3rd floor & there is no lift at all. Room was excellent & spacious with huge balcony. Good size bathroom with effective size Geyser. The view from the Balcony of Paro city was awesome.
The dining Hall is near reception. There is no room service hence every time for dining one need to come down & there is no lift, a kind of torture.
The worst part is food. Every single dish is bland. Kitchen staffs are untrained & are unable to manage guests. They need a good cook & trained kitchen staffs.
