Detailed Reviews
We received tremendous help from the hotel owner as independent travel is still a new thing in the country. We also loved the food for dinner and in the morning and the pricing is very reasonable. The location is fine--just outside of the town to be quiet and you can see the beautiful dzong outside. The hotel has good infrastructure for a night stay, but need some upgrade of wifi and hot water. The value for money is good!

Warm Cozy home...away from home!
An excellent property which was a traditional Bhutanese house converted into a small hotel and has the warm and cozy feeling of a home away from home.
Excellent traditional architecture and wooden rooms made it really warm for us when it was sub zero temperature outside.
They provided us with all the facilities and the staff went beyond our expectations to make our stay comfortable.
The heaters in the room and bathroom worked really well.
Located right behind the main Thimphu Dzong at a quaint location.
A special thanks to the owner Mr. Norbu and the manager Mr. Pema to the chef Mr. Nado who made traditional dishes with less spice as per our request.
Overall a must stay property at Thimphu.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Sonam and Ms. Chuki too.
Thank you :-)

Excellent location overlooking the Parliament and the Thimphu Dzong (especially to see the brilliant lighting at night). The room was spacious for 2 people with a large and well stocked bathroom and kitchenette. Amenities and sleep quality were both good. Staff is helpful and polite and breakfast was served on time for those wanting to head out early to explore the nearby attractions. Overall, value for money!

We stayed here for 2 nights. An entirely unpleasant experience. Room allotted to us was extremely cluttered and claustrophobic and not cleaned properly. They did have other spacious rooms too but cleanliness in all of their rooms was zero. The electric kettle was very very dirty. Heaters were not working at all (temperature outside was 2 degrees). 2 out of 4 switchboards in the room were not working. The heater in our room had a short circuit as the hotel staff plugged it in the wrong switchboard (the actual switch wasn’t working). Hot water was limited to just 10 mins. Food was very bad and very limited options. Very unpleasant hospitality from their staff. Wouldn’t want to ever stay again at this property.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Good location. Just outside the city with a good view overlooking the parliament and the Thimphu Dzong. Rooms are good - Clean, spacious and neatly done. The bathrooms are big and has a heating system which is really a noon for winter travellers like myself. The restaurant is ok. Since our package included breakfast and dinner, we really didn't need to look at the menu. But whatever was served to us was exceeding in quantity for 2 (Actually food served was ideally for 3-4 people) and the it was definitely delicious to say the least. The staff too were courteous and helpful.
I however have only one suggestion for the hotel. Since the rooms are decently spacious they should rather look at one large heating systems instead of one large.
Having said that, I had a good experience staying in this hotel.

The hotel is located 3-4 kms away from main Thimphu Market. However it is located in tranquility with mesmerising night view of the Thimphu Dzong.
Rooms are big and well appointed.
We were the only guests during out stay so breakfast options werw limited. Also they turned on hot water only in morning.
Will recommend this hotel to fellow travellers for its picturesque location and big big rooms.

Quiet location overlooking the palace. Room large, nicely decorated and very clean. Food excellently prepared, very nice and courteous service. We will definitely come back. From the hotel the pick up from Paro airport was organized, everything worked perfectly.
