Warm Cozy home...away from home! An excellent property which was a traditional Bhutanese house converted into a small hotel and has the warm and cozy feeling of a home away from home. Excellent traditional architecture and wooden rooms made it really warm for us when it was sub zero temperature outside. They provided us with all the facilities and the staff went beyond our expectations to make our stay comfortable. The heaters in the room and bathroom worked really well. Located right behind the main Thimphu Dzong at a quaint location. A special thanks to the owner Mr. Norbu and the manager Mr. Pema to the chef Mr. Nado who made traditional dishes with less spice as per our request. Overall a must stay property at Thimphu. Our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Sonam and Ms. Chuki too. Thank you :-)

The hotel is located 3-4 kms away from main Thimphu Market. However it is located in tranquility with mesmerising night view of the Thimphu Dzong. Rooms are big and well appointed. We were the only guests during out stay so breakfast options werw limited. Also they turned on hot water only in morning. Will recommend this hotel to fellow travellers for its picturesque location and big big rooms.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Good location. Just outside the city with a good view overlooking the parliament and the Thimphu Dzong. Rooms are good - Clean, spacious and neatly done. The bathrooms are big and has a heating system which is really a noon for winter travellers like myself. The restaurant is ok. Since our package included breakfast and dinner, we really didn't need to look at the menu. But whatever was served to us was exceeding in quantity for 2 (Actually food served was ideally for 3-4 people) and the it was definitely delicious to say the least. The staff too were courteous and helpful. I however have only one suggestion for the hotel. Since the rooms are decently spacious they should rather look at one large heating systems instead of one large. Having said that, I had a good experience staying in this hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights. An entirely unpleasant experience. Room allotted to us was extremely cluttered and claustrophobic and not cleaned properly. They did have other spacious rooms too but cleanliness in all of their rooms was zero. The electric kettle was very very dirty. Heaters were not working at all (temperature outside was 2 degrees). 2 out of 4 switchboards in the room were not working. The heater in our room had a short circuit as the hotel staff plugged it in the wrong switchboard (the actual switch wasn’t working). Hot water was limited to just 10 mins. Food was very bad and very limited options. Very unpleasant hospitality from their staff. Wouldn’t want to ever stay again at this property.

During my Dec 2019 vacation stayed at Kisa Villa for 2 nights. Room was big, extremely neat & clean. The owner himself & staffs were very polite, helpful, warm and welcoming. They literally provide all sort of help required. I was pleased with my stay experience at Kisa Villa. I would highly recommend this hotel for any traveler especially travelling solo to stay here.I am sure next time in visit to Thimphu will definitely stay at Kisa Villa. Thank you team Kisa Villa for a memorable experience. Wish you all the success and prosperity in future.

This hotel is located near the Bhutanese Parliament and local market. The room was clean and spacious and offered a nice view from the window. The owner is polite and professional. Dinner and breakfast both were tasty.

Visited Kisa Villa on the 22nd.We were given one of the rooms overlooking the Dzong and it is one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve stayed in! It was clean, well maintained and the heater too worked nicely. Our stay included breakfast and dinner which were excellent and the taste made me feel right at home. They provided us with everything that we needed.I would like to thank the hotel owner Mr.Ugyen Norbu for his kind hospitality as well as for the lovely conversation that we had over dinner. Also a big thank you to the kind staff-Manju Ghalley(at the reception),Sonam Wanguro,Damchoe,Dorji, kezang,Tandin,Tshering peldon and tshering Gyeltshen. I would surely visit again and I will miss all of you! Lots of love, Krupa magdum and family.

You enter the place and get a DULL feel. And the staff is unaware of your arrival. If you chose a room with kitchen, they won't allow you to use. Geyser will work for very restricted time. If you take bath within that(really early hours) time you are lucky otherwise deal with freezing cold water. We were with two kids and so poor experiences one after the other we had. Not recommended at all. Just one PLUS is the location and view.
