They showed me the available rooms and I took one with a private bathroom. Not luxurious, not too clean. Price is a bit higher than appropriate. I put my own mosquito net under theirs which had lots of holes. Bar and restaurant (the restaurant is a veeery charming lady who will cook something for you) are good. The other guests... More

I stayed here with four friends. We arrived late at night and had to search a while before we found someone who could check us in. The room was okay , but the toilets were not good. Showers worked well, but did not always have hot water. At the bar it was the locals who hung, and I think that... More

I stayed here for three nights camping. First of all, never once did I have hot water (or even warm). Even worse though, the staff was just never around. It is completely unacceptable that there is no one available until well past 9am. One morning there was honking for 20 minutes because there was no one to let them in... More

Great staff providing a vibrant and friendly environment. Great mix of local and backpacking culture (even got a free drum performance and shaun's dance moves). Dorm rooms were as dorm rooms go. Kitchen and hot showers were amazing!!! Great WIFI!!

The only good thing about this place was the staff - who were extremely friendly, and the bunnies in the garden, who happened to be in love and liked bananas. So, where to start - the beds felt like they were punishing us. The room was small, stuffy (no fan or AC), the bedsheets were dirty and there were no... More

During my 3-night stay at Kalulu. there were 2 power outages. However, staff turned on the generator quickly so that there was water at the taps at all times. The facilities might look basic or even rustic but the staff made sure that the guests get all the daily necessities such as laundry and cooking. I really enjoyed talking to... More

We stayed there for one night in May 2015. the rooms were clean and alright but the compartments for locking in your valuables didn't feel too safe as they were easy to break into. They have good wifi and good service depending on who's at the desk. The cook was sick the day we were there so no food. The... More
