We chose this hotel as bookended rest days before and after a hectic 2 week tour of the main Ugandan national parks. Cassia is not the easiest of overnight accommodations to access when you fly into Entebbe but its commanding position just south of Kampala, overlooking Lake Victoria, is a memorable stopover. Not only are you then on the outskirts...

My clients and I had planned to stay in Kampala three nights and finally we stayed more because of the view and the atmosphere. The place was so relaxing, the service very friendly and kind and the room was excellent, plus perfectly clean. The bathroom was basic but perfectly fine for us. All the windows had mosquito net which allow...

First overnight stop in Uganda where we arrived after midnight and then left the lodge at 9am so didnt have much time here. The room was adequate but was very dated. We are used to travelling in Africa so never expect too much but after some of our other lodges we stayed at this was probably the most tired but...

Over the years of staying in Uganda, Cassia lodge has truly become a home away from home. Cassia Lodge is located on the outskirts of Kampala, and it will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to reach the center of the town, depending on the traffic. The location and the view from this hotel are a real stress reliever. The...

Brilliant location, comfortable beds, nice rooms, mediocre wifi, friendly staff, but slow service (they should, however, all aspire to Medard's standard), good food (but breakfast a big disappointment), too many non-guests at the pool, impressive cleaning ladies. All in all pleased, but has tremendous potential.

We would like to thank our dear client for appreciating the unique location, the rooms, the beds, the pool, the staff and the cleaning servivce. Our apologies for the delay in the service. Not that our waiters are lazy, only that Cassia is sometimes overcrowded. Especially during the weekends, when many neighbours come to swim. Like its the case in...

Our room was broken into and we were robbed while we slept. This can happen anywhere - but the way the hotel dealt with it was appalling. The manager didn't pay us the courtesy of contact for more than 6 hours after the robbery was reported to the front desk at 6am. The staff were indifferent, at one stage laughing...

It's truly regrettable what happened to our client Julie. We understand her frustration. But let's stick to the facts. 1. Despite the notice in the room that clients should always keep their valuables in the safe and keep the doors closed, our client admitted in a police statement that she had left the doors open and the valuables visible.2. When...

I had dinner here one evening, on the elevated terrace overlooking the lights of Kampala and Lake Victoria. It is especially peaceful, the only discernible sounds from frogs lurking below in the grass. The fish and chips was very tasty and the wine good, although it could have been more chilled, however some ice cubes sorted that out. Cassia Lodge...

It wasn't our first time in Africa but it was our first time in Uganda, an unexpected beautiful and pure African country. We started and ended our trip in Cassia Lodge. It was a very good hotel to acclimatize and also to enjoy after our trip with a welcome swimming pool in the garden. The owner Johan is very kind...

Cassia has a very nice location in Kampala, overlooking the city and Lake Victoria. The rooms are ok, and the place has a pool, which is great. However, it's not accetable with mouse droppings in the bathroom, as this mean hygiene is compromised, and it sort og ruins your stay. The food at the restaurant is also very poor, to...

I would like to apologise to our dear client. But there were no mouse droppings in the bathroom. Occasionally there are droppings from the small lizards that one can see on the walls. These lizards are beneficial animals. They eat mosquitos and other insects. Therefore they cannot be killed. Some European customers don't know it and that's understandable. Our client...

I've been to six continents and stayed in plenty of hotels. This is the worst I've ever stayed in. The view was nice. That's it. But even with the nice view, I couldn't see it because people from the pool could see into my room, and with the party going on, there were plenty of people to look, and they...

This is already the 2nd review of the estimated client. Why this Vendetta? Why this abusive language ? The facts: Like any other hotel in Kampala, Cassia allows children from the neighbourhood to use the swimming pool. Part of our corporate social responsability. Yes, children sometimes make noice.. But there was no party! And nobody could look into the rooms,...
