The staff at the Banda Inn were welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are lovely and breakfast is a terrific way to start the day. The hotel felt like a home, and was such a wonderful to start off our trip to Uganda. It felt secluded and alone, despite being a quick ride to the middle of the city. The design... More

Our family stayed at Banda Inns for 4 nights over a week in January 2016. Steven and his wife made us feel very welcome. The property is in a quiet location, and is very homely. The rooms were clean and spacious, with ensuites and HOT showers. We LOVED the breakfasts on the balcony, which were the best we had in... More

I always stay at Banda when I'm traveling to Kampala for business. I feel so comfortable and relaxed here. Steven and Asteria's family and staff are wonderful. When I was sick they made me this potent ginger tea that cured my tummy overnight.

Steve and Asteria are the perfect hosts. Recommended by a friend and so glad I found this B&B gem in the Muyenga region of Kampala. The B&B offers quietness yet minutes from a hive of restaurants in Tank Hill. The room was spacious and ensuite. The breakfast is lovely - fruit, cereal, toast and cooked options, together with fresh fruit... More

I recently stayed in Banda Inns on a work trip. Steven, Asteria, Henry and the rest of the staff were so kind and accommodating - I'll definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Kampala. I'm a vegan too, and I have to say the breakfast provided was the highlight of my day! Great spot.

Banda Inns is a small, friendly B&B in Muyenga, a residential area not too far from central Kampala. I'd stay here on every future visit if they're not fully booked—which they often are. Great value. Pros: The hospitality is outstanding; Steven and Asteria are fantastic hosts who go above and beyond to offer the best possible experience. During our stay,... More

Great location with plenty of good restaurants within walkable distance. Service was great, they will even do your laundry gratis! Good breakfast included, other meals can be arranged for a price. Very relaxed atmosphere, love hanging on the balcony or by a bonfire at night. My go to place to stay every time I am in Kampala.

This was my third stay at Banda Inns in three years. Each time I lived here for two or three weeks for business reasons, and I can truely say: This place is my home from home, and Steven and Asteria are the friendliest, most helpful and reliable hosts one can possibly imagine. As always, I enjoyed my breakfast on the... More

Travelled to Uganda for business and pleasure. Banda Inns is very well organised for the business traveller. Airport pick-up, cars with drivers for rent, renting mobile phones, organising a safari (pleasure side of the trip) and doing laundry. All for reasonable prices for an European. I am sure you could "go local" and organise transportation and a safari yourself, but... More

I stay here most of the time I am in Uganda ( nearly every Xmas!) and it's like coming back to my second home - without having to deal with hustle of caring for it obviously 😜. Steve ( I think he prefers Steven) but I call him that to annoy him and never win I assure you!- is an... More
