Hotels in Sudan charge quite high tariff which is not commensurate to the services offered. The highlights are; 1. Central location bang on the Nile street. Big property with several rooms. 2. Very friendly staff and front desk. 3. Good AC 4. Easily accessible 5. Large pool with good seating area. 6. Exteriors well maintained. Low lights; 1. Breakfast- same...

The Grand Holiday Villa has a glorious history. Located on the Nile Drive in the older part of the city, the hotel, which was commissioned in 1902 is in a reasonable shape. I had a magnificent room with a large balcony facing the Nile. The room was comfortable enough though the sofa upholstery needs a change as does the mattresses....

The Grand holiday Villa is a rustic hotel with a vibrant past during the British regime / and now caters to the business community that are ever present in Khartoum. The Churchill Ballroom is a favorite for parties and functions with the oak panelling, the same can be found in the old wing of the hotel , the rooms have...

Stayed here at the beginning and end of a tour around the country. Hotel has a sense of history, and offered an excellent breakfast - everything from cakes to curry....perfect. Stayed in the new and old wings- preferred the rooms in the old wing, although both rooms were good and met expectation. Ate the buffet dinner in the hotel- wasn't...

The rooms were the best we experienced in Sudan, but we got caught purchasing an evening snack, and paying 277 SDG Sudanese pounds for it. The hotel recommended for us a taxi who took us miles away from our local destination (for 100 SDG pounds) we never understood why and it was very scary. The pool looked great but was...

location is good and rooms are okay, big issue is with restaurant service, slow and wanting. Also some facilities on the pool side are really run down, bathrooms, sauna, spa look like they need a complete overhaul. it is not suprising to have to order three different things from the menu as the waiter keeps saying ''not available today''. Though...

Had the opportunity to spend several extra nights at this hotel due to Turkish Air flights being cancelled. The staff of the hotel was very sympathetic and accommodating to my situation. From the front desk to the restaurant managers, I received excellent service. While the hotel is a bit dated, the staff with their kind service more than compensate for...

We stayed here for about a week. Great ambiance! There is a huge pool, an outdoor dining area, and a great buffet. The staff is very welcoming and accommodate whatever you need. My wife and I found the other guests are from all over the world and very interesting. You will love this hotel. The Nile is right across the...

Grand Holiday Villa located on the banks of the River Nile. Good location. Try to get a Nile facing room. I did not stay at this hotel but it looked ok from the outside and the location was a positive point.

I came to khartoum for business and found availability in this hotel. It was the worst thing to sleep in this kind of "hotels". I asked for airport pickup, nobody came. Then breakfast is horrible, not healthy not clean food and also no cooking knowledge. An omelette, well known universal plate, here they do it like 2 fried eggs then...
