The rooms we stayed were big and clean with double balcony facing the mountains. TV and fun worked well, cool. Nights are amazing to watch the city of Kigali from the balcony. Great sport for relaxing! The rastaurant is exceptionally good in African standard. Menu includes big variety of Indian dishes too.

I stayed for three nights. I was quite comfortable. Room was clean and large with a wonderful balcony overlooking The Valley and the mountains beyond. Really nice view. There was always hot water and almost always there was fast wifi. The bed was very comfortable. I had a fan in my room. The staff and the manager were very friendly...

The hotel rooms are not very clean. the bath tub etc are not well maintained. There was no fan and no AC in the room. After complaining, they arranged one table fan which was also broken. BF was not so good. No restaurants nearby. Okay for just one night.

it is located in a busy area and not far from a mall; a very convenient for shopping and mobility in the city. The view to valley is excellent especially for dinning. ask for room facing the valley as the room facing the road is a bit noisy. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This hotel offers basic accomodation at a reasonable rate. It would make an excellent place to stay if you are planning on seeing the city and you are travelling with a smaller budget. It is within walking distance of the Rwanda Development Board where you get your gorilla permits and c. $3 taxi ride from the genocide memorial. Free wifi...

My overnight stay could have been better. The tv in the room didn't work properly and despite the room being a double they gave supplies for one despite being reminded to improve on this. The food was alright but took too long to prepare. The wifi is rubbish and affected communication or rest times as we had to sit in...

This was the first place we stayed in Kigali so initially I believed that the quality and price might be consistent with other things in the region. Not so. The rooms were clean but very basic. The staff seemed to be tired or stressed out during our visit. I didn't think this was a particularly good deal - and after...

I stayed at Okapi for three nights. It offers affordable accomodation and is located just at Kigali's Central Business District. Had clean rooms, although the Tv in the room had channels broadcasting in Kinyarwanda only. Much as Rwandese majorly speak French and we encountered difficulty communicating with the locals, the hotel staff spoke good English and the meals were delicious,...

With room rates from $30.00-$ 60.00 per night, Hotel Okapi is certainly one of the cheapest places for the shoestring budget traveller who wants to stay right in the center of old Kigali. Best feature apart from its location: Rooms with modest balconies offer a great panoramic vista. Don't expect any luxury at this no-frills place, a movable fan is...

This hotel has everything you could want. The location is terrific, a quick walk to everything in downtown, and super safe (Kigali is safe in general, but Okapi's location especially so). The views of Kigali's hills from the upper hotel are great, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel shows its age in some places, but the price...
