the rooms outside from 20-41 were better than the rooms in the main building. The first room i got on the first floor was small and there was this really awful smell coming from the drainage system. I asked to change to the outside rooms and got 32 which was good Breakfast is basic, and as basic as not getting...

this hotel has seen (or hoped for) better days. rooms clean but basic. internet was erratic while i was there, but this seems normal in niamey. the hotel's saving grace is a terrace with beautiful views across the river niger, perfect with a cold local beer and spicy brochette.

The Grand hotel in Niger is set in a beautiful point by the river Niger . Big spacious rooms with fairly good internet, well guarded compound . Air conditioning for the hot temperatures and good working space to work within the hotel.

Since this is Niamey, I guess this is considered a five star hotel. I would give it, maybe two stars. There are no elevators, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Many of the staff, especially in the restaurant are VERY rude. The only fairly nice people, were the bartenders in the bar. Their breakfast "buffet" is...

This is not a great hotel by any mean but it's for sure the best option in Niamey. The hotel is way better than the competitor, Gaweye Hotel where I've stayed previously. The hotel is in need of renovation as it's visibly very old. The staff is excellent, the service is good but the breakfast can be improved by adding...

I stayed here for nearly four weeks on business. It was more like a prison sentence. Now before you assume I don't know what hotels in Africa are like, this was my 21st hotel in my 14th African country over the past six years. Granted I stay in business hotels and not youth hostels, but I can compare like to...

I have been in this hotel several times. I could not find a better hotel in Niamey. Don't expect a good service. The rooms are clean, WIFI is free of charge and there's a safety box in each room. There is a nice view from the windows. It preferable to have a suite rather than a single room. Breakfast is...

This hotel was reserved for me by a third party. I spent 6 night at the Grand Hotel and enjoyed it. High level security around the hotel makes you feel good and protected. In addition, the hotel is located near many restaurants and shops. The only problem with the hotel is the breakfast. The serve a buffet breakfast for 5000...

My colleagues and I have enjoyed our stay at the hotel whilst conducting an aerial survey. Unfortunately, there was a theft out of my room for the time the cleaner was in my room. 760USD and a small amount of XOF. I reported it later that day to the reception desk. I was shown to the hotel manager who summoned...

Perfect safety and security; bad room service; make sure you got your own stuffs like toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, towels, combs; you may buy them in shops at the main entrance before you enter. Breakfast 8-10am; Lunch buffet starts 12:30; polite reception; wi-fi everywhere; swimming pool; BBQ open every evening; beers @ 3$; gentle and welcoming staffs; ATM machine inside reception...
