If you like to be amongst German-speaking people in an atmosphere reflecting the 1950s this is the place to be! If you are a black/white English-speaking couple you should better avoid that place! My black boyfriend was told to wait outside the reception during check-in because the lady thought he is my servant. During breakfast he was told to speak...

We stayed here the 1st night before beginning our safari through Namibia. The room was clean, shower had plenty of hot water, and the bed was comfortable. Their wifi also worked great and the breakfast in the morning was a combination of continental and hot. This place was exactly what we needed before beginning our 21+ day adventure.

We stayed here on our first night arriving in Windhoek from JFK, a LONG trip. We had the last room on the left at the back of the property which was very nice and quiet. It was a large room with very comfortable beds and a nice patio which we did put to use that night and had a drink...

This is nice and quiet accommodation offered closer to the city. Easy access to the premises. The facility is manned by gracious ladies, perhaps pensioners yet energetic, enthusiastic and eager to offer best possible service. Rooms are well furnished, clean and comfortable with all amenities. Breakfast arrangement and the serving arrangement was lovely even they used their alternative kitchen. Parking...

The hotel is situated at a more noisy road in klein-windhuk. If you have rooms further backthey are quiet, but the nearest room to the street is noisy. The rooms othetwise are clean and with comfy beds. The Austrian originated proprietor is very kind and helpfull. The kitchen prepares wonderfull meat dishes and also have some good wines on the...

Stayed here previously & again not dissapointed. Well situated just 3 km from Windhoek CBD. Rooms are clean & stocked with an extra honesty bar which one normally doesn't find in a guesthouse setup. Overall service was great & breakfast really good with reasonable variety including some traditional German eats.

I have been coming to Palmquell since December 2012 and stay at least twice to three times per year for a week or more. The Austrian hospitality of the hosts are absolutely welcoming. The rooms are so comfortable and cozy with lovely beds, a comfortable washroom and a corner where you can get some work done. During the cold winter...

We gathered as a group of ten at the start of a self drive holiday. It was an excellent venue with lots of space on the grounds and in the rooms to sort our luggage and organize for the drive. The staff was efficient and helpful sending us to all the places we needed to best provision and have memorable...

Stayed her after our flight to Namibia. A tranquil spot, lovely rooms & gardens. Food excellent both at dinner and particularly breakfast. The staff were friendly and attentive, as we had an early breakfast, we were asked to sit inside so as not to wake other guests, a really lovely touch!
