The hotel is placed on a hilltop on the outskirts of Windhoek. Good parking and nice view. My room was on the ground floor facing the parking lot. Not the best of rooms. Other people from our party were very satisfied with their rooms on the first floor. The restaurant serves very good food in a very good environment. The...

Beautiful Hotel. Friendly staff. Just glad I checked my bill before paying. Other guests who left without paying we added to my bill. Three bottles of wine plus water. More than $N 400. Staff knew about it by tried to recuperate their loss from me. You can stay at Hotel Thule with its beautiful views of Windhoek but always check...

Dear Reviewer We would like to thank you for your feedback and also to sincerely apologise for the negative experience when settling your bill. This is most certainly not the way we run our business at Thule and bringing such errors to light helps us look into the matter afterward. We stayed twice! We didn't plan in advance, and just called and they gave us a discount on the rack rate. It used to be a private residence, and you certainly feel like you are in the Hollywood Hills in LA - with great views - and the former residence has panoramic views from what is now the restaurant. Obviously...

We arrived to a lobby filled with some very rude guests. Immediately someone came over to take care of us. Without saying a word, she seemed apologetic for their behavior. From then on everything went smoothly. We stayed two nights, one at the beginning of our trip and one at the end. The rooms themselves were beautifully furnished with outstanding...

We recently stayed here for only one night as our first night in Namibia. We wanted some thing nice before we went off camping and we were not disappointed. This was a really nice little hotel at the edge of town with great views of the surrounding hills. Our room was large and clean with very effective air conditioning. They...

We had drinks and a light lunch at the hotel and have to admit that this was the best service and the best quality food we had during our entire stay in Windhoek. Well done. The great view obviously adds to the already great experience.

We wanted to have a quiet and relaxing afternoon. Hotel Thule provided a cool outdoor pub area with plenty of beers and cool drinks. The service was prompt and professional. The views over the town is great and enhances the general experience.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Thule was originally a one-time luxury home built by the late Edmund Lafrenz in 1960 as a sumptuous home for himself and his late wife, Liselotte. It was purchased by Windhoek businessman and entrepreneur, Wolfgang Egerer just before the turn of the century, who then reconstructed it into the beautiful up-market 25 bedroom hotel it is today. The outstanding panoramic views over Windhoek are a unique and unparalleled feature of this pearl of Namibia.
