I stayed in Olive Grove for 1 night. It was the night that we arrived in Windhoek from Europe. We had a nice stay there. What I remember most was the warm welcome and the very friendly staff in this place. The place itself is simple , not a very luxurious place but it is clean and you feel at... More

Nice clean place to stay and very helpful personnel. We were greeted very friendly and showed to our rooms 1 and 11. Breakfast was good, but a bit cold. The snack late at night was very warm and delicious! Only bad thing is the parking space.... A bit small and difficult to park.

If you are looking to spend your first night in namibia in a regular hotel near from Windhoek Airport, Olive Grove Gesthouse could be and option. A beautiful bathroom and a clean room with a comfortable bed. There are air conditioning (but in our room the hot option didn't run, and it is necessary because nights are so cold). You... More

This was the first place we stayed in Namibia and it was excellent - everything you need with attentive staff, lovely and spacious rooms, high speed wifi and a choice of breakfasts (the game sausage was particularly memorable). There's also a very small pool area to relax by, although we chose to spend our afternoon in the city centre -... More

Rooms were nice but some rooms had a strange layout with bath/shower/toilet not separate so might be a good idea to ask about this if you're not comfortable with having no privacy! Beds were slightly hard but the room was comfy and there were nice extra touches such as hot water bottles in the bed and before bed port put... More

Great, warm welcome at this friendly hotel. Interesting and quirky décor and a room with a shared terrace on which to quaff an aperitiv. Good touch of a hot water bottle in the extremely comfortable bed and chocs and port. Dinner was also excellent as was breakfast. Only negative which prevents me giving a 5 star was the barking dogs... More

We stayed overnight at the Olive Grove at the start and end of our trip in Namibia. We stayed in Room 2, which has twin beds but is very dark as the only natural light is in the bathroom. It was also very cold but the wall heater is very efficient. The dinners and breakfast are very good; the packed... More

Dear guest Thank you so much for your kind words and the wonderful rating you gave us. We are so delighted to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast we packed and that the staff took good care of you... and that the heaters in the room gave some comfort on such a cold night. We must admit, that the cold... More

My wife and I were blessed with the opportunity to travel throughout Namibia on an exquisite and breathtaking private safari. Stopping at the Olive Grove Guesthouse for one night upon arriving in Windhoek, and ending our trip the last two nights before departing, we convey that we were totally satisfied. Moreover, we even enjoyed a very tasteful meal one evening.... More

We stayed here for one night before flying home at the end of our holiday. The rooms are comfortable enough but perhaps taking shabby chic a bit too far. The rooms do have different configurations. We had room 8 (apparently Price Harry had this room earlier this year)which had the bath/shower in the bedroom with no screen and the toilet... More

A friendly comfortable stop over having arrived at Windhoek - good home cooked food, quirky comfortable rooms and really nice people. Cold in the evenings so a lovely touch was the unexpected hot water bottles left in the beds - well worth a visit

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Olive Grove is a small upmarket accommodation establishment situated close to the city center in a quiet, peaceful area. The guesthouse takes homely atmosphere to a different level. Recently completely refurbished, each room has been decorated and painted with new colour schemes allowing a different feel, but with the same elegant and simplistic emphasis on decor. The open-plan kitchen allows guests to see how meals are prepared, while they enjoy a drink in the lounge. The menu was also reinvented and is now fully a la carte, quite unique for a guesthouse. Home-style food is rounded off with great presentation, pushing up the level of the guesthouse dining experience. Whilst each of the eleven rooms and one suite cater for every need of the most discerning traveller, the emphasis remains one of simplicity and elegance. ... more   less
