After a long day, up early ...to airport to catch flight to Namibia, normal check in stresses and a flight to Namibia we felt a tad flat by the time we arrived at the hotel. Great reception by staff and the Suites were very comfortable( Bit of an odd odor prevailed the room for awhile until the aircon helped dissipate... More

We stayed at the Heinitzburg on our first night in Namibia. What a great way to start a trip to Namibia. This hotel is situated high on a hill above the centre of Windhoek, with fantastic views across the city from the Garden Terrace where you can have lunch, afternoon tea or drinks at sunset. Both the night and day... More

After taking a safari for 2 weeks around the country, staying in this luxurious hotel was made even sweeter after some of our camping! Expensive but worth it, the food menu was also incredible - hard to leave the comfort of our own beds!

So glad to have my last meal in Namibia (after 3 week trip) in this beautiful, historic hotel. Tried their Springbok Carpaccio (115 rand) - it was a very generous serving and so delicious. They also had an impressive cellar that can hold a private party. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Should I make it back to Namibia,... More

I did not stay here but we had a fabulous dinner and wine tasting. The views from the terrace are great but we were more concerned with the delicious menu. The game for both starter and main course was beautifully cooked and presented.

After an efficient check-in, Hotel Heinitzburg extended a gracious welcome upon our arrival (welcome drinks brought to our room, which had been graced with fresh roses). When an unexpected power outage caused us to consider changing our plan to have dinner at a restaurant in the central part of Windhoek, one of the staff came to our room when our... More

Heinitzburg is a truly luxury hotel located on a hill in Windhoek. The rooms are very nicely and well furnished even though it might be a bit too puffy for some. You can see that they take care of their rooms as all furniture has a high and good quality. This also applies for the whole hotel (restaurants, reception etc.).... More

We paid for a superior room. Got 2 single duvets much smaller than king size bed.Asked for top sheet not available. No coffee/tea station. Room not clean but beautifully decorated with lovely little corner overlooking Windhoek. A Cinderella type room .Great view. We found the staff not interested as if they are busy enough. Can"t be best hotel in Windhoek.... More

This Hotel has a great view which makes for a great date with your signicant other. But also suitable for business meetings because of it's exclusivity. The menu has a great variety and their service is great.

I liked this hotel , but when I travel I really do focus on service and whilst a lot of really special touches with roses ultimately service determines quality. Staff were very pleasant but there is a big lack of communication which doesn't work for me when travelling for business, perhaps if I was ok holiday would be better. As... More
