Thank you to all, especially Alex for giving us a wonderful experience at Chameleon Backpackers! We booked the Lovebird guest room - which is highly recommended to all couples. Friday night braai /quiz night is definetly recommended as well as joining in at the bar for a drink or two, relaxing around the pool and taking advantage of the pool...

Chameleon is quite big with many guests. The rooms are nice, beds comfortable, bathrooms just fine. The grounds are very pleasant, plenty of little areas to hang out. They offer free breakfast and have a bar and dinner options as well. Staff is nice but not overly friendly, almost get a sense that you are bothering them at times. Overall...

I have stayed a couple of different accomodations in Windhoek and I found Chameleom was the best. It is clean, wifi usable, good positioned and good breakfast. It seems like it is always full booked! By the way, cigarette smoke was annoying indeed though it was smoke free zone;especially Vurture room. All the time smoke was coming in and it...

Stayed in a tent one night, a private room for two nights and the honeymoon suite for a 4th night. All rooms and facilities here were exceptional and provide a great area to meet people. Free walking tour from the backpackers was great. Included breakfast is basic but a nice inclusion. Proximity to the city makes it great value for...

I spend at the Chameleon Backpacker one night. The dinner was ok. Too expansive for that what you 've got. The transfer to the airport was also much expansive. Nevertheless the rooms were clean and the pool area was also quite relaxed.

Nice place to stay in Windhoek, meet people and rest. We stayed in an very nice private accommodation, with excellent value for money. Breakfast is simple and you prepare it yourself, but it's really good. Would certainly be back.

I have never been in a hostel before, and my experience was very good. I stayed in a private room, it was comfortable, private bathroom, basic breakfast, space inside the fridge to put your own food, kitchen to cook your meals. Besides, there was a pool, to face the desertic heat. The staff was helpful, although their english was a...

Really enjoyed our trip to Windhoek and staying at Chameleon. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool was very relaxing and rooms were nice. Would highly recommend to someone traveling on a budget, but doesn't want to compromise quality.

I stayed in a private room, and it was large, very nicely decked out, and a lovely place to stay - and for a really decent price, too. The staff were also super friendly. There isn't a huge amount of space for parking, but I squeezed my little VW in.
