The hotel is very large in good location 10 minutes to beech promenade and shops very near to hotel . The food was very good and plenty of choice . The restaurant is very large but no surprises I knew it was 560 rooms . The food was constantly repenlished and a good choice at all seating . Two queen... More

Pros: -Located in a quiet & safe neighborhood within walking distance from cbd area. -Nice comfortable rooms. -Not very far from the airport but you have to watch out as some taxi drivers might overcharge you. Cons: -Unreliable internet wifi connection. -Low water pressure in showers

Hotel is on the same street as the President's house so no thru traffic! Breakfast is fine; lunch and dinner were good. English language tv channels were available. Wifi was strong in my room (102). Staff is excellent; however, some do not speak English.

I am writing this review while sitting right in one of the Jacaranda rooms. This is the one of the worst hotel I have experienced in my 7 years of business in Mozambique. The rooms are murky, insufficient lights in room at night time, no bed side lights and no power on electricity points (dirty trick to save electricity bills),... More

I've stayed at the Jacaranda a few times while on business in Maputo. In this price range, it is my preferred hotel, however in saying that, other hotels at a comparable price are very very average. The location is great, nice and close to the Polana district and walking distance to many restaurants. The rooms are fairly basic but adequate.... More

An excellent solution to stay in Maputo where accomodation is expensive. Jacaranda guest house is in a very safe part of the city, in a quiet street but at walking distance from the Polana shopping center and restaurants. Rooms are not huge but very clean. Wifi connection is available and works well in the rooms . Conveniently there is a... More

There might not be that many options in Maputo, but look harder if you can. With a barely passable breakfast (and no good coffee to speak of), slightly dirty, loud rooms, it isn't suitable for business travel, although I would stay here perhaps if I was a budget traveller looking for a place to crash in Maputo. Top notch service... More

OK, this is a two and a half to three star hotel but a decent hotel favored by the NGO expat types. You get a basic room on the ground or upper floor with bed, basic cable, bath, and sometimes internet. Adequate breakfast is included. I did not use laundry, no room service, no other amenities. My room did not... More

I stayed here a few weeks ago and had TWO bad pest experiences. First, I ordered a dish at the restaurant, and it was served to me full of dead ants. This wasn't one or two ants that could have crawled into the bowl, but 50+ dead ants swimming in sauce. When I took it back to the kitchen, the... More

We went to Maputo on business trip and really enjoyed this guesthouse. The location is very convenient and quiet, the rooms simple but definitely up to European standards and very clean. We had no issue with water pressure as reported by other reviewers, and found hot water. Internet connection available and working. Nice breakfast and very friendly staff. Only advice,... More
