Faboulous little find on route between Maputo & Xia-Xia, set a little bit off the main road it is a lovely quite setting for this lodge. The rooms are clean, uncluttered and spaceous with a rustic theme. The rooms are set in the grounds away from the main lodge reception/dining area which gives privacy & comfort. The food was delicious,... More

If you are looking for a great stop inside Mozambique once you have crossed the border at Komatiepoort, look no further than the Blue Anchor Inn. Great couple running the Inn, good clean rooms, a fantastic dinner both times we stopped there and a good price too! Highly recommended!!

We passed by Blue Anchor on our way back to Maputo from Massinga. Paul and Liz made us feel so welcome. In addition to the AMAZING prawns and steak we had for dinner, we also had a lovely time chatting to Paul and getting a lesson on the history of Mozambique. Incredible food and amazing hosts. Highly recommend the spot!

A lovely clean and comfortabke room, loved having an air conditioner! It was the perfect place for a stopover from Johannesburg to Tofo! The food was delicious and the beer nice and cold. A peaceful and calm oasis to rest in before continuing your journey!

Paul is a great host and a mine of information on Mozambique. The pub is cosy with great atmosphere. The menu is limited but thoroughly enjoyed... More

We stayed there twice and was so expressed with the place. Rooms are amazing. Their chicken dish is the best. The place is so well looked after. Nice bar area to sit and chat to the owner while eating roasted coconut.
