Avoid their shuttle service, they don't have place for bags, but put them on the floor so that everybody has to step on them (just imagine when 30 people step on your backpack after the visit of the toilette at a gas station). The drivers are rude. The bus stops everywhere.

If youre looking for a backpackers in Maputo I strongly recommend Fatima's. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, beer available and live shows occassionally. Fatima's is central and eqi-distant from the esplanade and central market. There is also the added benefit of staying here in friendly and helpful staff who will arrange almost anything you may require. It is a...

It felt that this place had lost its sense of pride and become a bit run down. Maputo is extraordinarily expensive and Fatimas was about the only place within our budget that we could prebook, so our expectations weren't high. Our en suite double was ventilated by a window that opened into the car port. Our clothes and selves smelled...

Safely located close to atm's, and places to dine. However fans in room are in poor condition, and the noise from the main reception/ bar feels like twenty people sitting in your room when trying to sleep. Staff was helpful, but over all rooms are ovens and noise control was out of control. If you can deal with that its...

On the 16th of September, 2015 as I entered Mozambique via the port of Maputo Via the port of Maputo, I couldn't be taken to any other place within the center of the city than Fatimah's back packers. On first sight entering the gate of this beautiful arena, I felt welcomed from the hospitality of its staffs. My phone was...

We stayed both coming to and going from Mozambique. The public area and rooms are very attractively painted and decorated. The room was very comfortable but a little noisy from the public area. Price was decent. The location is good, right across the street from an ATM, and within a few minutes walk from a grocery store and a number...

This is your typical hostel. Full of travellers, lots of people to share doorms and bathrooms with. The beds are OK, but the toilets and showers were a disaster. Clogged toilets and damp showers, nothing you will find in other hostels. At night, the party is heavy! Thus, if you don't mind poor ablutions and noise this is good value for...

Very conveniently situated. Very helpful friendly staff. Has a good vibe but needs a little tlc in the bedrooms and kitchen area. We paid R1000.00 a night for my husband and I to have our own room and our friend R600.00 for a single. Quite pricey but then Maputo is expensive.

This place has so much potential because of its design and decor, and the rooms were rather nice - but they need to make some changes, especially if they're going to charge as much as they do. They need to fix and clean the bathrooms (good luck finding one with a door that closes, a toilet that flushes, and a...

The staff of Fatima's are generally friendly and helpful. But this is not the place to stay if you want a good night's sleep. Especially at the weekends, there is a lot of noise late at night and you're almost guaranteed one, if not two wake-up calls - one at 5 am when people leave on the bus for Tofo,...
