Paper thin walls, NO TOILET PAPER, no remote control so I could not even turn on the tv, no free Internet. It appeared they just tossed a small bed in a small room and sort of cleaned. Just stay at an Airbnb.

For what we paid was ok, VERY small shower - toilet area. if you are a big person you may not fit. Had loud music in room next door all night. Friendly staff and clean hotel. Paid R1000.00 for 2 of us for the night which was the cheapest we could find. It is within walking distance of the coast,...

Good location in central Maputo, next to SA Embassy and Julius Neyere Avenue Restaurants. Clean place, quiete location, secure parking. Friendly staff, only the breakfast could improve, a few meticais more for a good breakfast would do it. Internet available.

In a city that is renowned for overpriced and underwhelming acommodation this hotel is up there with the worst. The double rooms are so small you can barely fit a bag in next to the bed. And the bathroom is a joke. To sit on the toilet you have to put your knees and feet in the shower. And you...

I have never stayed at this guesthouse, but I have eaten at their restaurant a dozen times. That was six years ago. We had dinner again tonight at Hoyo Hoyo after 6 years and the food was as delicious as it used to be a long time ago. We had dahl curry, boiled vegetables, basmati rice, mutton curry, grilled scallops...

This place is probably the worst hotel I have ever been in. Got the heebee jeebies right as we pulled up to it. Was thinking there is no way we are staying here but one of our group wanted to look at the rooms so we went inside and looked at a single and a double. Think of the Hanoi...

For nearly 100 USD (2950 MET) as single you get this: The smallest open bathroom which is possible (just for slim persons), don't expect too much (hot) water. Very small and simple rooms like in a backpacker camp. Also matching one small slice wrapped cheese and 8 gram butter for breakfast. Same fixed price for one and two persons in...

On the plus side, the air conditioner and the little fridge worked in our room. The sheets were very old but clean - ish. That's about it. In the bathroom, the toilet seat was loose, there was no holder for the toilet paper, the taps were silted to the basin with the gunge of many previous travellers, the bidet taps...

Hoyo Hoyo is centrally located in close proximity to Polana shopping centre ans the waterfront. Foyer is conservative but cozy, the rooms are so so small, bathrooms are as tiny.Power supply is erratic. The gardens and restaurant area are creatively decorated but congested with a lot of artworks. hot water is as irregular however early you rise. wifi is paid...

I asked for an affordable hotel in a relatively expensive city. So you get a small room, with a small bed and the smallest ever(!) shower. It gets cleaned, the water is warn, there is water, there is electricity (one cut in 2 weeks). You get to know the staff after a while. The restaurant appears to be separately run...
