Really nice to find this place to relax in after time in the desert and good value compared to others in Nouakchott that had far less personality. Lovely open area downstairs and up, even some books to read. Room okay, bit of a cigerrette smell....More
Highly recommended. There are not many places like this in Nouakchott ... a quiet small guesthouse (9 rooms) with excellent restaurant (fish specialities .. closed on Sundays), fresh-squeezed fruit juices, interesting library and a shaded garden ... all at very reasonable prices. Jeloua guest house has a very charming atmosphere, rooms are nicely decorated and the patio outside is very pleasant. Value is very good compared to the other choices in Nouakchott, but the hotel had a serious problem with cockroaches when I was there.
