Le Campement is located on the edge of the Rift Valley escarpment on the edge of Bamako, in a pastoral setting. The 20 or so rondavels are spacious, clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. The setting is peaceful and incredibly beautiful, with a range of vegetation seen few places outside Madagascar. The food is superb and reasonable in price and...

We were three generations, visiting Bamako from the UK for a wedding. Our room was a charming little round house, set in acres of beautifully tended grounds. It was comfortable, if not luxurious, and we enjoyed the stroll over to the restaurant for simple but delicious and generous meals. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who bent over...

First of all the swimming pool is very dirty. Second, when i order food, believe it or not, the chicken served to us was eaten before !!!!! And when i tried to complain they just threw the bones and refused to bring another chicken!!! And u was forced to pay for that eaten chicken. My advice dont go there, they...

I really like the idea of getting away from the unbreathable air in Bamako city during this season (dry). Le Campement is simply perfect for a friend’s weekend trip, family getaway, couples retreat, conferences & events. You can also just spend the day however I would not leave too late during this period for obvious security reasons. We (family &...

Fantastic place to stay - we had lovely hut with good bathroom and shower, aircon and comfy bed! The pools are a great place to chill out in the daytime heat. This place also makes an awesome mojito ! We didn't do the zip wire but we had a lot of fun watching everyone else do it :)

The pools are carved out of the rock side hill -- exotic, beautiful, quiet with wonderfully authentic Malian music playing in the background. The poolside has an unique feature -- mist is sprayed above your head to keep you nicely fresh and cool. For a day trip get away, it's perfect. Swim, a quiet read, a restaurant next to the...

Found this place by total happenstance. Referral from the Portuguese force protection team flying with us that day, actually. Great waterfall pools to swim, good food, not expensive and if you're into being foolhardy, there's even a seriously dangerous zipline to play on. (I found if you hang upside down, you don't see the welding technique on the pulley system,...

We stayed at the hotel 7 days. Great Eco tourism concept but access road is poor dirt road 5 km long. The staff were excellent especially receptionist & breakfast restaurant staff. Nothing too much trouble. The swimming pools & recreational facilities are its major plus. Very clean & comfortable. Wifi was average ... Kept dropping out & not acceptable in...

This resort has cabins spread over a big area, just like a small village. Our cabin was clean and spacious with air conditioning and a nice bathroom with hot and cold water. But one of the other cabins had a strange layout. The door to the cabin let you in directly to the bathroom with the toilet as the first...

Very relaxing place, great escape from city. The swimming pools are the nicest I've seen in Bamako and good is food (especially during the day, but not so much in the evenings). There is also the possibility of buying local crafts in a shop.
