I've stayed at this hotel for 2 different occasions: first time room was bad, as the bedsheets weren't changed and dirty, safe wasn't working. Second time, different room, things were the opposite, everything was looking fine. I guess it depends how lucky you are. Otherwise rooms have all you need, including a microwave. I love their toiletries Both times, restaurant...

We stayed here last year and I wrote a review. We thought we would try again but nothing has changed. Piping hot water coming out of the cold taps and the toilet. Half a roll of toilet paper. One cup and no teaspoon for a double room. Breakfast was cold and had one grey (rotten) egg.

I stayed at Mafumu for 4 nights last week. The place is quite and peaceful. The room is clean. The general manager, Miss Diana is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The only thing that need to be improved is the food and the TV receiver. I would love to visit the hotel again.

This was a perfect stop for me after long flights from the US. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Had a great luxurious shower with plenty of hot water and water pressure, which can be a challenge to find in Malawi. An excellent South African chardonnay made sunset in the lush Mafumu gardens extra enjoyable. Dinner was also top notch with...

This hotel is more of "motel" in that all rooms are accessible from outside. The rooms are very nice and offer good amenities for the price. If you need a good B&B, I recommend this hotel. The price is right for Lilongwe and the peace it brings is great for when you first arrive or getting ready to leave Malawi....

The bathroom piping is mixed up. There's hot water in the loo and not a drop of cold water in the shower. No water pressure either. One 500ml bottle of water compliments of mafumu 😒 No teaspoons The food is terrible. Had a beef curry for dinner and the meat was so tough that it couldn't be eaten. Then lunch...

Stayed at the Mafumu for about 4 days last month on my 4th or 5th trip to Lilongwe. The Mafumu is located in Area 3, convenient if you need to visit NGOs in the area. The rooms are nicely appointed, but are looking a little beat up. The bed is very nice, a large king size bed with nice linens....

Beds are comfortable and the biggest i have seen in Lilongwe, with soft pillows. The Restaurant has really nice new Menu with various options. The staff members including the ground workers are warm...

Although very accommodating still lots of privacy due to layout. I normally use Mafumu when visiting Lilongwe for business. Internet and hotel kitchen could be better but I rate the stay as value for money and compared to general overpriced Lilongwe accomodation . I'll be back!
